”We enjoyed our stay at The Pelican and it was a short walk to Canal after dinner. ”

”There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

”We had a wonderful stay with our little one. All the staff were really friendly and very accommodating. It's a lovely place that is undergoing refurbishment and you can see this in places with some areas looking a bit tired. However we slept so well and had an excellent meal in the evening with massive portions and also a brilliant breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay again if in the area, thank you.”

”Everything. The staff are so friendly, the room clean and comfortable. Great breakfast cooked to order and evening meals we had were delicious. It’s a cosy little oldie worldly pub with 2 open fires, was nice and quiet when we went with a few locals in of an evening. Owner very helpful. Would recommend 👍”
