”Room was ok. Wasn't like the pictures on the site but the bed was large and very comfy. Floors were rather creaky so glad we were on the top floor and not on any of the lower ones. The staff were all lovely and the dinner and breakfast we had were very nice”

”Lovely small property with so much character, lovely staff and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The stairs are a little wonky, as others have noted, but if you don't mind a bit of a tilt, they are quite manageable!”

”Very pleasant experience. Clean modern room and helpful staff. Cosy restaurant with good drinks. Breakfast is freshly prepared according to your choise, a bit heavy though. Rooms are located in a separate building near a big road so we heard a little bit of noise from the traffic.”

”A recently renovated room i think ( room 3) New bathroom- and powerful hot shower . Love the unusual wall paper! Room extremely clean and had all expected extras ( tea , coffee , biscuits ) No bath. (( if that’s your preference) Also located up stairs so some people may find that difficult. Easy access from courtyard and easy parking onsite. Fabulous breakfast. From bacon and sausage to avocado and sourdough. Great coffee and service prompt and friendly. ”

”Stayed two nights for a long weekend, perched on the edge of Highclere Castle for our visit. Quite close to the A34, but even though our room was on that side we had no traffic noise. Nice little room upstairs in the cottage next door. Breakfast was included and that was excellent. Also had two evening meals, sample photos attached. Chef is very talented. Would happily return.”

”Good for a short stay, very basic pub accomodation. Located practically in the middle of nowhere and there's no possibility to go for a walk or a run in the evening. The pub downstairs is good, with reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Stayed at the room 12 which at the time of my stay didnd't have any shower! This is unacceptable even temporarily, such room should not be offered at all.”
