”I booked this hotel as it is the only one in the area with a pool, however when I arrived I was told the pool was closed. This was very disappointing as I was not told at the time of booking and the room was non refundable. The rooms are very dated with small beds and limited amenities.”

”The property had bags of character. The bar area was relaxed and welcoming and there was a cave in it too, which was brilliant. We had dinner the first night and the restaurant was very spacious and the food choices were great and very well presented and flavoured. ”Very friendly staff, evening meal and breakfast done to a high quality. Everything you need in the rooms including hairdryer”

”Fantastic place to stay next door to the Sissinghurst Castle Gardens. Friendly and beautiful. We will definitely return”

”The hotel is a lovely old pub & breakfast is good. Our room was hot & thought needs to be given to improving the fans in the room. There are a couple of free, open 24 hours car parks within a 2-4 minutes walk. It's old so floors are uneven and there are a lot of half steps.”

”Lovely rooms with streaming in the tv Nespresso coffee always a plus. Usual amenities, good food offer & reasonably priced. Highly recommend, lovely area with a local village store & post office which is great”

”Lovely rural location, a couple of miles from a small village with nice restaurants and shops. Close to Bewl Water.”

”The staff were very friendly on check in. Room was very clean could have done with a chair. The mini fridge and breakfast basket in the room was a very pleasent surprise. Restaurant is not open most days anymore due to no chef. Pubs coffee shops and takeaways are very close to the hotel to get a meal.”

”Mukava henkilökunta ja siisti huone.”

”All my needs were met, plus, there was a fridge with proper milk in it for me. Also some breakfast foods and yoghurt, cereal, fruit and all hot drinks with a kettle. I had everthing I needed and had two very good night's sleep. I met the cleaner in the morning and she was extremely friendly and made sure I had my supplies replenished there and then.”
