”A lovely place, great location perfect for a city break. Was happy to see that breakfast, tea and coffee was all taken care of along with all the things you need to cater for the promised 7 people. Made special by the Xmas decorations. Extra thanks to Tom for his help on our departure”

”Room was freezing cold, no heating on, kettle didn't work. They did offer to change our room but other room was also unheated. As check in is 2pm.We checked in at 4.40pm 14th Feb, room was icy cold. Hot water was temperamental. Room should have bern warm & water hot, Hubby had cold shower i gave that a miss.should be heated by then”

”This is the perfect place for relaxation, romance and restlessness. The food and drink is also amazing!! Only downside is very few pool side beds, otherwise absolutely perfect!!”

”The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend”

”Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.”

”Lovely place to spend the weekend. Beautiful buildings steeped in history. We stayed in the flint cottage which is separate from the main building, which was Lord Kitcheners temporary home while the main house was being renovated. The room was very pleasant, the bed was super comfortable. The only annoyance was there were bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower but they were all empty. We dined in the restaurant for evening and breakfast and afternoon tea and all the food...

”When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. When we did get into the room the large curved screen TV proved to be...

”Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus.”
