”We loved this option because of the location in the town of MAS which is a much more authentic Bali option than the hassle of UBUD. Around the area are many wood carvers - so you can find a lot of amazing antiques, masks, etc. We had a MANGKU (local holy man) we visited that lived near there. There is also an INCREDIBLE restaurant across the street called TonyRaka which had really authentic and healthy Indonesian food - we ate there every day. ”Staff are very kind, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We quickly made friends with some of the locals and played a spontaneous game of badminton with them at their hidden private court! ”Ngurah and his family were very kind to me in my stay at their home. My first night they invited me to a special ceramony at the temple that included music and dancing. My room was private and clean with a working bathroom. Breakfast was served for me on the porch this felt very luxurious because the property has many beautiful plants and animals to observe while you eat. I think what I liked most was that it was so very quiet but still walking distance to all the good places like monkey forest...
