This was a perfect place for me and my husband to relax for our first dives vacation days. Staff is amazing: friendly and always happy. They have some activities everyday, and even organized a cooking class for the day we left once they got to know we would like to go.
Our flight arrived in the middle of the night and we got to check-in 5 am and got breakfast once we woke up. This was not extra charged, which was extremely nice. I believe that as it was low season it affected for that being possible as there were rooms available.
Food in the restaurant and on the other side of the hotel in a beach bar is very good and tasty. It's really great that they have dishes for the day: starter, soup, main course and dessert, these ones you can't find on the menu. That makes it even more variety for the food, and with cocktail of the day it was easy to try something new every day. They organized a swahili dinner in a different Marafiki location one day and that was great also.
Oh and the breakfast...THE BEST. You get to choose your dishes from the list and they make it for you. I'm a real breakfast person so I was SO happy with having a breakfast like this. Even on the days we left diving early, before the breakfast started, they made our breakfast from the list as we wanted.
Going to return to Zanzibar for sure, and we're going to choose you again. We even heard this is a adults only hotel, which is great!
