”We visited The Village off season and the atmosphere was relatively quiet. ”For a roadside motel in a rural area, it was a pretty decent place to stay for a single night. The room was quite basic, but seemed to have been recently updated. The beds were comfortable. ”After a long drive, I was looking forward to a rest, but that was impossible. The room was dirty, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable—the mattress felt like it belonged in the last century.
While the bathroom looked recently renovated, it didn't make up for the overall poor quality, especially with a broken mirror in it. To make matters worse, the heater didn't work and just blew cold air, leaving me freezing all night. The "blanket" provided was barely thicker than a bedsheet.

”I was in shock when I drove up the hotel's driveway! The whole hotel was in disarray, under construction. The hotel was in desperate need of repairs.
