I booked 8 days at Movenpick during a challenging time involving a family emergency. Despite explaining my situation, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and consideration from the staff; I left messages and made calls but no consideration was made. My request for a late checkout on the last day (after sleeping only one night out of the 8 days) was denied unless I paid for it per hour. My request to cancel unused breakfasts at the start of the stay and to include a guest in the chocolate tasting on one day was also not considered. For a hotel that promotes hospitality and care, this experience felt cold and unsupportive. I hope they reconsider how they treat guests going through tough times —this was a very disappointing and terrible experience.
