The location was ideal. Close proximity to ferry, downtown, laundry. The setting was spectacular, we had many morning and evening times relaxing on the terrace. On the negative side, the beds were not quite comfortable and the electrical outlets were lacking. The washing machine was in disrepair for the first couple of days causing us to use the laundry across the street for 17. They did repair it while we were there.

Perfect place at Menaggio- skip the crowds

Wonderful stay at a beautiful property. You don’t even need to leave the place - it is so beautiful and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Great check in process and the host was very communicative.

Fabulous view and location

Lovely apartment with a wonderful terrace and view over the lake. Apartment was nice and clean with plenty of space for 4 adults, check in was easy. Menaggio has lots of lovely restaurants nearby. My only criticism would be the pillows were thin and only 1 per bed, there were no tea towels at all ( that we could find) and no washing up liquid or cleaning cloths. Would highly recommend staying here though as these were minor issues.

Great location

The apartment is in a great location, with a lovely view of the lake. It's very convenient for the ferry, and about three minutes' walk to the center of town. (Which is far enough out that you're not disturbed by the church bells.) The furnishings are fairly basic and, as some other reviews note, the bedroom looks out over a main street, so if you're a light sleeper the traffic (and recycling collection in the early morning) may be an issue.

All about the location & view...

Wonderful view and great location for our nine-night stay. Excellent property management guidance and communication. All good except for a few shortfalls. Platform bed frames had sharp corners at shin level in tight bedroom quarters which created a constant safety hazard. Kitchen was not adequately outfitted for guests (ie. no dishtowels, no sponges, no spatulas, no salt or pepper, etc.). Plastic furniture on the terraza in poor condition and needs replacement, Terraza umbrella was broken and unusable. No rugs or floor mats except for one mat at the main entry door which made it challenging to keep terrazzo floors clean in the apartment.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. The place was easy to find and close to the ferry port as well at the main square in Menaggio. The view of the water was beautiful. The communication and assistance with the host was good and they even assisted us with finding alternate transportation when the ferry was on strike. Lack of air condition is the only negative. It was very hot while we were there.

Perfect!

This was our first time to Lake Como and I’m so glad we chose to stay in Menaggio! The apartment is exactly as presented in the listing. Check-in was super easy, just walk in and get the keys. It’s a very short walk from the fries, less than five minutes. It’s about five minutes into the restaurant and shopping zone as well. Plenty of choices of dining and of course, beautiful scenery everywhere

Beautiful location! Only complaint is the street noise that goes on all through the night. The fans in each bedroom helped but didn’t eliminate the noise.

Wonderful Experience

We have been visiting Menaggio on a pretty regular basis since 1992 and have never had a bad experience. The Mira Al Lago was no exception. The place is marvelous. It is quiet, pleasant, clean, and offers a wonderful and relaxing view of Lago di Como from the house or from the perfectly placed patio. It was the perfect place for us to relax at the end of a long adventure of visiting friends and family in Spain and Italy. Grazie mille a tutti quelli di Lake Como Holiday per il vostro aiuto.

The property was a nice size for four people. It had a great outdoor area with a view of the lake. The kitchen had all of the things that you needed as far as utensils went. That location was fantastic. Close the town close to the piazza, as well as the walkway on the water and Ferries. This was my third time to menaggio.

Perfectly Located

The apartment has all your basic needs with a terrace with a gorgeous view! Close to the ferries and to the lovely center of Menaggio. We rented a motorcycle in Como and a Vespa in Menaggio. We were there 7 days and had meals in the lovely restaurants. The pistachio gelato at Fabrique di Gelato is a must!

Great location for Menaggio and the Ferry

This two-bedroom apartment is conveniently located, just a short walk from the Menaggio Ferry Port and also very close to the center of Menaggio with a number of bars, restaurants, shops and of course, the lake! There is also a great little grocery store near the ferry which has everything! Bedroom windows overlook the main street, so there is some traffic noice at night and the windows really do need to be open for ventilation. The apartment had a lovely view of the lake and the mountains rising up above Varenna across the lake. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, but without any cooking supplies/spices/etc. Not a problem if you don't plan on cooking. There is no AC in this apartment, which we knew from the listing, so the two fans that were provided were essential since the weather was rather hot during our stay. There is a lovely patio overlooking the lake, but the furniture there is rather basic. (Two canvas beach chairs and a plastic table with plastic chairs. Beds were clean, but rather basic and not the most comfortable. While the photos are unclear about this, the spacious bathroom is independent of either bedroom, so can be easily accessed from the hall from either BR. Lots of hot water and the clothes washer worked well.

Perfect location

The apartment is rather basic. The kitchen is adequate, the beds are comfortable and it has a nice terrace dining area overlooking the lake. Parking is areal problem so best suggestion is find as parking spot as close as possible when you arrive and leave your car for the entire time you are there. Just buy the multi day boat shuttle and you can see all of the nice places on the lake. It is a 10 minute walk to town and restaurants and a 5 minute walk for groceries and the boat terminal. The location could not be better.
