”Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.”

”A beautiful period property in a stunning location. Always a warm welcome from the owner and you couldn’t find a more beautiful setting to wake up.Deer often walking around the grounds in the early morning when you open the curtains of your perfectly decorated room.”

”Lots of gangs of kids hanging around, and not a safe feeling area. Property lacked basic things that you’d expect in a hotel. No one on site to contact to rectify things. Not a good place to stay. ”

”An old-fashioned hotel in an old building but there's nothing wrong with that - it has character, unlike a lot of modern anodyne ones. Service was exceptional: accommodating and friendly. It is located dead in the centre of the old town and is ideally placed for exploring it (and for staggering back from the pubs!). It also has a well regarded Thai restaurant on the ground floor, so no need to go far if you don't want to. There is free parking at the back. I would certainly stay again if I was...

”I had a wonderful stay at The Parson Woodforde, a lovely country pub. I stayed for 2 nights during my trip. It's positioned roughly midway between Norwich and Fakenham. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, plus I had an evening meal one night that was also great. The room was large with, plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed, plus a lovely bathroom. On my trip, I spent a day sightseeing in and around Norwich. I also spent a morning at beautiful Pensthorpe, before an exciting...
