”The room was dirty, stained/dirty sheets, floor unswept, not washed, bathroom tub surround dirty. Windows to the view were dirty. Hotel was not as pictured in the advertisement. Furniture is outdated and paint is chipping off. Tv came on but no cable or apps worked, nothing to watch.
We were given a second room after complaining about the first one. The second one was better, but the sheets were still very old and the floor need to washing.
Staff were nice and helpful, great view”

”It was awesome to look out at the lake every day. It was a good launching point for hiking in Cape Breton. There was a super restaurant just down the road with incredible baked goods. The staff was very helpful in getting our clothes washed. WiFi bandwidth was limited. The TV had Roku so we weren’t able to see any of the World Cup.”

”The staff at breakfast were very friendly but the room was very musty/moldy/smoky smelling. One of the two beds wasn't very clean. There were three chairs piled in the corner of the room for some reason. The beds were very soft. Washroom floor wasn't very clean. There was no where to hang your towels. Cheaper than most places in the area but significantly less nice, maybe for $100 less than some of the other places you could over look the state of the rooms but for $30 to $50 less just spring...
