I arrived at the hotel and the staff were very kind during check-in. Unfortunately, my experience changed after I realized that I had lost my Gucci scarf while staying at the hotel.
The scarf is not only valuable but also a sentimental birthday gift from my daughter, which makes it very meaningful to me. As soon as I noticed it was missing, I went to the front desk to report that I had lost it on the hotel property. The staff said they would try to look for it, but no lost-and-found report was taken and no information about the item was requested.
The following day I returned to the desk to follow up and explained the situation again in detail. I was told they had looked around the property and in my room, but again no report was created and no contact information was requested.
Before checking out, I stopped at the desk one last time and asked if they could please call me if the scarf was found. I also asked who would be responsible in a situation like this — the hotel or housekeeping — if the item was lost during my stay, but I did not receive a clear answer.
I made my reservation through Expedia and I have a Gold Status , so I value professionalism and accountability when issues arise.
I truly hope the hotel will contact me if the scarf is located. I am happy to provide any additional information that may help recover the item.
