Lovely traditional hotel. Receptionist was extremely efficient and friendly. Room was as expected, clean but a little tired in places owing to the age of the building. Lovely fluffy white towels. Holiday Inn Darlington - A1 Scotch Corner by IHG
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly nothing too much trouble. Nice clean room, bed comfortable. Just a bit noisy from road traffic, otherwise would have been an excellent stay. Food really nice, and reasonable choices for vegetarians.

Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. Durham City Cottages
Parking was easy and convenient. It felt secure and well suited. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed.
