”Room was very hot and stuffy. The window was broken so no fresh air. After insisting that something be done, the staff were able to prop the window open with a book. Basically it’s not as cute as the photos. It was a good price, but next time I think I’d rather pay more for a better standard. Good in restaurant was also very ordinary.”

”Beautiful part of the state, the simplicity of the accommodation blended with the beautiful countryside. The sauna was a treat, and food at Maydena Eats was delicious. WiFi instructions were wrong (maybe outdated?) and shower floors and bedroom corners had been overlooked— fixable things. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

”Stayed in a two bedroom cabin. It was a fabulous accommodation which was very clean and well furnished. Great facilities on-site also. Right next to the cradle mountain visitor centre.”

”Well located to Mt Fields. It is a Large 2 BR even if we only needed 1. Very dated, poorly maintained, and dirty. Kitchen cabinets and cutlery drawer dirty. We had to wash dishes we were going to use. We decided not to cook so as not to have to wash everything. There was only one wine glass and when my partner washed it, he cut his hand and we had to bandage it. ”A comfortable stay”

” I liked the location of the property being close to places within walking distance like the Wilderness railway. The room was neat and tidy and was generally quiet during my four-night stay. My only frustration was with the tv in the room as many a time the 'no signal' message popped up. Other than that it is a nice place to stay, and I enjoyed a Sunday dinner in their restaurant. ”

”Ok this is an old building and we should appreciate that. The room facilities were basic (the shower head leaked reducing pressure, one electrical blanket did not work and the general cleaning could be better) we thought that the continental breakfast layout could be better to reduce congestion. The breakfast was toast, cereal and limited fruit. Tea and coffee was available. The location was excellent over the road from the railway. The staircase is magnificent .
