”From the moment we were warmly greeted and shown to our room the place felt very homely and relaxing. It's a beautiful, quiet, countryside setting and we will certainly be back!”

”We enjoyed the well equipped room with a comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant which had plenty of atmosphere on a Monday night in May. Good choice on the restaurant menu and excellent breakfast. Lots of stairs to climb to our room but we made it😊”

”Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.”

”There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark.”

”Quaint and lovely spacious room with a beautiful view. Gorgeous dining room and outdoor deck. Friendly staff. The tea, coffee and carafes of water were a nice touch.”

”What an absolute lovely stay. Very simple yet very well executed. The dinner was absolutely delicious, really mesmerizing, don’t skip it! Breakfast was included and it was amazing!!!”

However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...
