”While the Hotel is in a super location it is in need of updating. There was no drawers in the room to put clothes in and room157 had water dripping from a light fitting in the bathroom. This has obviously happened for some time as there was staining on that part of the ceiling. I reported this to reception as we checked out. There was no lu brush and we had to ask for another toilet roll as only one half used was provided. The food was average. Not somewhere we would stay again”

”Website details & pictures; a different story to reality. Initial reception - given questionnaire with another guests details, spoke of our ‘standard room’ which I pointed out was incorrect - booked a superior room. MUCH whispering with a colleague and tapping of computer keyboard then told to wait whilst they sorted out a glitch with the system and issues with the superior room availability. Resolved by offering us an upgrade to a Junior Suite…’top of the range’ room. Joke…the website shows a...

”The standard double room was much smaller than expected, and the bed was two singles pushed together with a thin double topper, which made the bed very uncomfortable and lumpy. We told reception after the first night and they arranged for a better topper to be put on. If the standard double was this small then the small double must have been tiny. The bathroom was a good size though.
Rooms are only cleaned if specifically requested at reception the night before. This wasn't made clear - there...

”I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”

”Hotel is close to the city centre, and is relatively affordable. Room is realky quiet and bed confortable.
The personnel is not welcoming or polite: the reception seemed to be more busy with their own tasks than customers. In the breakfast room the personnel on weekdays nice, but during weekend seemingly on bad mood.
