What an amazing little piece of paradise! What to choose when waking up in the morning? Pool? Beach? Both? The house was great and had everything that we needed, kitchen was really well stocked, tons of towels, hot water (between 7am-10pm), comfy king beds plus a queen air mattress. The area is not very touristy, safe and quiet, lots of locals around and the beach is pretty quiet, although busier during the Christmas/New Years week, but never crowded. The water is very swimmable with fun waves. Beautiful sunsets! Local macaws and iguanas come to visit. There is a nice restaurant (Costa Linda) 600m (7minute walk) away. There is space to park the car inside the gate and the main road is paved, the last little bit is gravel. Hoyt is an amazing host, so very responsive and helpful. Any questions, simply ask and he will get back to you very promptly. Definitely recommend!

I rarely write anything on the reviews but feel I must as I only read positive reviews prior to renting this property. Adequate beach house though it is WAY off the beaten path. The view from the patio is stunning but the beach was full of debris and GARBAGE! You definitely are not going to take chairs or lay out on this beach. There is not a living room area but we spent most of the time on the patio if we were there. We had an issue with the hot water in the master bedroom and with the timer. The host was very responsive and quickly sent someone out to fix it. However, he then tried to blame it on user error. NOT! 4 adults know how to turn the hot water on. There is also a timer to shut off the hot water heater at night which was set incorrectly and for 2 days, we had no hot water anywhere in the afternoon and evening. After the plumber came out, all hot water issues were resolved.The master bath had two bath mats that were full of black mold, the toilet was not clean and the bedspread was dirty and had to be washed before we could use it. Because I pay a cleaning fee with the rental, I do expect it to be clean on arrival. There are raccoons that visited daily, dug in the garbage that does not have a lid and were aggressive if you tried to shoo them off. I did like that the host gave recommendations for things to do in the area and local restaurants to visit. I do realize this is a third world country but I didn't pay third world prices to rent this property.

Lovely place

Henry was a terrific host. He gave us lots of advice on restaurants and attractions nearby and he responded quickly to any questions we had. The house was nicely situated on the ocean - we sat under the veranda watching the waves roll in, the lightning strike and the ships go by. There was everything we needed in the house. It was a bit out of the way - quite far from Monteverde for example. We rented a car and would have been lost without it.We missed the sunsets because of the weather so will have to come back again!

The house.is perfect. Very comfortable. The views and sounds of the bea h is exactly like you would dream for a vacation. If we return to costa rica, we would definitely stay here again

Million dollar views is accurate

The views and the private beach feel is why you stay at this property! The house has some quirks but when I go on vacation to Costa Rica, I’m wanting to be outside. We saw monkeys and macaws as well which was an added bonus. Hosts were great communicators and also recommended a masseuse that came to the house which was a great experience.

Million Dollar View is Correct!

If you are looking for a place quiet serene property to get away from all the tourism than this is your place. We were celebrating our friends 25th wedding anniversary and their first time to Costa Rica. We had our own beach to chill and enjoy the weather. Wonderful stay- thank you!

Million Dollar View

What can we say. Looking for a home in Costa Rica we came across this beautiful VEBO as advertised “ Million Dollar View”. Well this beach home did not disappoint. And what a view it was. From the moment we pulled up to the house and stepped out of our car we were welcomed by the wonderful sound of the ocean. This property was literally within feet of the ocean at high tide and at low tide we had about 500 feet of what is the most spectacular grey sand to walk on and go seashell collecting. Or just a wonderful walk on the beach in the morning to watch the sun come up. We were blessed to experience consistent warm days and comfortable nights. Whether on a lounger by the pool while watching the ocean or playing in the ocean and riding the waves, there was no lack in ways to relax. We were blessed to have a covered patio area as well to get out of the sun and yet still be fully outdoors. One can literally spend the entire day outdoors. Walking the beach at sunset with a glass of wine made for the most memorable experiences and photo opportunities that we will cherish forever. This home was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. Dishes, utensils, towels etc. this home had it all. Beds were King size and comfortable. This home was equipped with laundry facilities which was a fantastic amenity. Even an outdoor kitchen with an area to barbeque made our cooking experience fantastic. Our stay was enhanced by the amazing quick response we receiv

Million Dollar View says it all!

This property is located on a black sand beach that was nearly deserted and it felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. The views are amazing. Beautiful pool and patio area. The hone was very clean and well appointed. The owner gave us some great recommendations. The only downside was the wifi isnt great (you can only get the 5g in the kitchen) if you are needing it to work while away from the office.

This property offers tranquility like no other!!

A million dollar view right on the ocean. The sound of the waves is amazing, and we felt very welcome and safe. The property owner had wonderful local recommendations and was prompt responding to any concerns. Highly recommend!

Not made out to be All it Seems

We had asked the host for a physical address to the property to enter into our GPS to locate the house and were told it would only be confusing, but we needed it for immigration also. We had a hard time getting thru immigration without a physical address. The driving instructions were little help they could be greatly improved upon. When we arrived at the house it has a gate which was not easily close once opened and the house had no hot water, we went about two days with out hot water they finally got a plumber out to fix the problem. The house has TV's but don't expect to watch anything unless you speak Spanish. The pool area was not very clean the grill was not in very good shape. Other than that it is a nice little house, but not worth the money we paid per night.

HHH Hacienda is PARADISE

My husband & I have travelled Costa Rica many times & always stay in short term rentals, over the years we have had many undelivered promises; but not here!..The house is immaculate & well designed; with everything one could possibly require to prepare meals etc. Hoyt is a great host with a genuine interest in the happiness of his guests. The beach is right outside the gate & the pool is immaculate. Truly nothing but good things to say❤️ Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!!

Great beach house experience.

Great location to enjoy the sand, surf and sunsets. The outdoor living space with pool invites you enjoy the moment. It was fun to have a campfire on the beach! Kitchen was fully stocked and 2 suites accommodated 2 couples nicely. Highly Recommend if you want a quiet beach experience to walk the sands and play in the surf.

Amazing views! Sounds of the ocean and pretty much a private beach for you to enjoy! We loved this house! The pool we used daily. Great patio and kitchen for your cooking needs! Best part was the help Hoyt was for us and his response time was amazing! Close to the crocks tours (Jason tours) he was so great! Search Monkey house if you want to feed them so great! Message at the house was so great as well all thanks to Hoyt! If you’re looking to get off the grid and explore what Costa Rica has to offer this house is everything you need! Relax in paradise

Perfect home if you enjoy waking up to ocean views, walking on nearly private black sandy beaches and watching breathtaking sunsets. A little off the beaten path but there are 2 family restaurants with incredible food and a small store all within walking distance. The house itself is very clean, well maintained, stocked with all the essentials and has a spectacular air conditioner! We had visits from various wildlife while we enjoyed the outside living space and relaxing pool. Don’t hesitate to book… you won’t be disappointed.

Pictures don't lie, great spot!!

A little off the beaten path but accessible to the 27 and 34. The house was super clean and it was exactly as described. Great neighbors and neighborhood. The house was very well stocked and we enjoyed it immensely.

Nice remote beach house

The house was nice and as pictured. The host was very communicative and easy to contact. We had issues with check in as the address in the listing isn’t correct but the host was able to walk us through getting to the house. It is very remote, grocery store is 30min away. Not much to do locally but that is to be expected. Overall a nice house but maybe better for couples vs families given the location. Beach was okay, lots of washed up logs near the house so you have to get over them to get to the sand. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful View!

The house was very nice and clean. The view was excellent. The air conditioning was wonderful and we loved the pool!! We would have used the grill more if it was in better shape. There isn’t a whole lot to do in that area so if you are looking for a place to just hang out and relax it’s perfect. We were surprised that there isn’t a sitting room. Kitchen table, bed or the outside patio is where you hang out. Didn’t really like the camera on the patio, felt like we were being watched all the time. Henry and the property manager were very attentive and helpful! Henry gave us a lot of ideas on where to go and things to do. We had a great fishing trip!!!

Peaceful Paradise on the Beach

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at Million Dollar View, an aptly named location!! We were so impressed with the charm of this home and beauty of the nearly private beach, literally at the footsteps of the property. The VRBO Manager, Kevork, was responsive and very helpful throughout our stay. Highlights included: stunning sunsets, relaxing in the azure-tiled pool, grilling on the BBQ, and visiting the local beachfront soda/restaurant only meters away from our stay. If you are looking for a peaceful paradise that feels like a home away from home, this is the perfect place. Thank you, Hoyt!
