Before reserving I messaged Mark, telling him the trip was a girl's trip celebrating a birthday and a completed year in law school - nothing more than a day trip to visit the beach and hang at a few bars later in the evening with a total of 6 girls. We really only needed the house to freshen up and rest before headed back home. He assured me that was no issue and he welcomed our visit. The day of check-in, Mark called to rehash the conversation. It was awkward. He was insisting on meeting in person and knowing where we would stay after leaving his property. For some reason he wanted to know our plans, where we'd be, for how long, and with whom. Once arriving to the property, Mark stood silently on the porch watching our every move. He gave a lecture on the pride he has in his home. He shared, "Sometimes people trash this place, but it's usually white people. Some folks just don't know how to treat things as well as others." He also stated, "I don't want any boys in here, none. And don't try to sneak, I have cameras everywhere and I'm just upstairs." He questioned our ages (between 25-29), where we come from, and implied we weren't smart enough to actually be in law school. He admitted he rarely asked for pictures of licenses but insisted on having ours. When questioned on why, he became irate and started yelling at us to respect him or leave. Shocked, we stared at him. He then shouted for us to leave and threatening to "take care of us himself." This place is not safe
