”Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. ”

”All very good except for Saturday night when there was live entertainment below us, not informed of this. Staff offered another room but didn’t want to change as it was late and we were tired. Breakfast served by a lovely lady so friendly. Room very good. Staff great . Thank you ”

”It is a 2* hotel on a side of a fairly busy A road - one cannot expect a Savoy. It was clean, warm, the room quite large and comfortable, the staff kind and friendy, plenty of parking, easy distance to where we needed to be. Breakfast - a toast with jam or marmalade available by the reception. Included in the price of a £50 room I considered it a nice extra rather than breakfast I should rate for variety or quality. We’ll definitely be back!”

”Excellent stay, quiet room and good food. I suggest staying in the main building, as the annexe is far from everything, and the path between the annexe and the main building can get slippery on rainy days (and it rains a lot in England). The wine list and beer selection need improvement.”

”Wonderful! The rooms were fantastic and felt new and fresh. The pool was amazing for our daughter and I loved the sauna. Everything was super clean and staff so friendly And helpful. The peacocks were also great. Will be back!”

”The room was lovely, nice and big and well decorated. Lovely bathroom too. The pub was great, we only had a couple of drinks and breakfast but no complaints. The only small thing is we only had one bath towel in our room, we intended on running downstairs to ask for another one but ran out of time before we head to head out. ”

”The check in was easy and the team are friendly. My room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed. I ate in the evening and also had breakfast. Everything was tasty and well cooked. I would stay here again if in the area - the bar is very nice, oak beams and a good atmosphere.”

”We were greeted with a very warm welcome to the hotel. Check in took a matter of minutesm we were then shown to our room. Which was very spacious with a large bathroom.it may have been a little dated, but it added to uts charm we also had the watermill directly outside our room... Breakfast was included and made to order and they also catered for our dietary requirements. ”
