”Beautiful location. Very dog friendly. We had a king size room overlooking the harbour. It was up a few flights of stairs but this was not an issue for us. Use of guest pantry which was a lovely touch. Very good breakfast menu. All staff were very friendly and helpful. ”

”Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

”Unfortunately the pub was closed for our Tuesday night stay. This meant that we had to drive to another pub for our evening meal, which wasn't very good at all. Also meant that as the driver I couldn't have a drink. Which was the whole idea of staying at the Hood Arms was an evening in an old pub. Breakfast was supurb as was the room. Great place to stay just not (currently) on a Monday or Tuesday. Landlord was really appologetic and very helpful.”

”We had such a wonderful stay at the castle hotel. The only feedback was the receptionist on check out wasn’t as friendly as the lady that had checked us in.
