”It’s a wonderful property- or once was….needs a million dollar clean up and update…..Staff are wonderful and the restaurant and Rafters Bar are wonderful hangouts in the off season. Nice trails and location. Easy access to Alexandria and interesting check points all around.”

”The room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. That is the best part of this property. However, we did not care for the dingy staircase without a light. (Surprise to us we had to climb stairs to our room with our luggage). The room was in need of some updates. The shade did not work properly. There was no fan in the bathroom. The carpet was old and there was a stale smell in the hallway and room. Furniture was old and needed cleaning. The room was very close to the road and we heard...

”Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.”
