Best view and property setup on the gulf coast

The pictures are accurate. What you don’t see is the ease of parking. The ease of access to the whole property and amenities. Location to everything you want to do in the area. Property is well d positioned to help you maximize your stay.

Best 3 bedroom condo!

I had an easy time in renting the condo. It was a great condo for our family. We have two teenagers along with four adults. The condo is well laid out. Everyone had a view of the ocean from their bedroom. We will definitely go back to this condo.

So many great restaurants to enjoy! Captain Dave's is a favorite and I highly recommend McGuire's Irish Pub at the very west end of Destin! Quite an experience! Westwinds is just a beautiful property and the pool is so relaxing to spend time at. Great walks along the beach; especially to the east past the last tall condo building. We saw many sand crabs during the day watching us and then ducking back into their holes.

Great property. Awesome views of ocean from the 11th floor. Some minor maintenance issues that mgmt is aware. Would like to see more beach chairs in the unit. Only two chairs in the unit and one was not useable after a few days. The grounds around the property were nice and clean. The food and drink at the pool bar and grill was very good!! The beach area was large and perfect with white soft sand and blue water.

We had some minor maintenance issues with some lights going out and water sensor alarms. We did get ahold of My Vacation Haven and they did get back with us and got issues fixed very quickly! The condo does need some new carpeting in once of the bedrooms but for most part is in good condition.

Overall the condo is great. The only complaint we have was the mattress in the master bedroom. It is so worn out and unsupportive that it is like sleeping in a hammock and we are just average size people with my wife weighing about 135 pounds and myself at about 180 pounds. We really weren’t able to get a good nights sleep any of the nights that we stayed there because it was so uncomfortable, which is disappointing for the amount of money that we paid for the room. It was bad enough that we would not stay there again, when you’re on vacation at the beach the last thing you want is to not be able to get a good nights sleep. Hopefully the owners will spend the money and update the mattress because it really was awful.

Oh no! Water’s out.

Lovely property but the water was out from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning when we happened to spot a maintenance guy on the pool deck below. We had attempted to call for help for hours to no avail. Once the water was back on, we were comfortable again.

Great views

Great location and awesome views of beach. Overall condo was nice other than a few upgrades that need to be addressed in the future in one bathroom toilet paper holder needs fixed. Mold in washing machine. Carpet had some stains Also for those who come here a cook in kitchen there are no potholders so we had to use towel to get things out of oven. Only a small pitcher to make tea in. These are things that will not keep me from booking here again just some upgrades. Beds are very comfortable also.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting at Westwinds for over 20 years. This condominium needs to have its carpet replaced ( I would suggest a different flooring in a beach home) as there were visible spills and stains. The icemaker did not work, the toilet tissue holder was off the wall and there was a leak in the bathroom that caused the water to shut off several times. The furniture needs updating as well. The view, and access to the beach, as always, was spectacular and the outdoor furniture was very nice.

Beautiful Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really nice condo with beautiful views of the emerald green gulf waters - not only from the balcony but each bedroom and the living room! The property is so well kept! Always enjoy the Baytowne Wharf (sax player at the Village Door is incredible!), Grimaldi's Pizza by Publix is great, can't miss the Donut Hole and Dewey Destin's Harborside Restaurant has great seafood and service. The only issue at San Destin is the restrictions on where you sit on the beach. The property isn't wide enough for the amount of guests and the beach umbrellas were 3 and 4 rows deep. Unfortunately, you can't sit in the beach area to the east where only a few people are sitting from the adjacent property. It would be great if San Destin could improve on this issue.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th consecutive year staying at Westwinds and have rented 1-3 bedroom units. I would rate this unit as sufficient compared to the others we have stayed at. First of all, they were rapidly cleaning the room 30 minutes before checkin and did not finish timely so we were delayed check in by 25 minutes. We entered into a rapid cleaned condo and it was evident. The unit is average but needs significant TLC in all rooms. Lightbulbs were out, furniture off rails so we had to carefully open drawers so they don’t fall on our feet, hangers were fixed in place so it was inconvenient to hang and remove clothes, broken beach chairs, squeaky mattresses and sofa, and worst of all, the washer had mold. We attempted to clean with Clorox wipes but it was caked on. Reluctantly we had to use to wash our clothes.

Excessive security codes some of which didnt work. At one point, I was locked out four times. Charged 190 for transportation we did not use. Music from next door property was loud and disruptive. There was no one on site to help us with any problems.The condo itself was very nice and comfortable, but we would not stay in this location again!

Beautiful view with a few opportunities to improve

The condo is great as far as location and view are concerned. I would recommend bringing coffee filters for the coffee pot and laundry soap. The condo did smell musty/moldy and the toilets were full of mold so if you have mold allergies be mindful. The biggest issue for us was that the washing machine was very moldy throughout the machine and seals so washing our clothes didn’t exactly make them feel clean. Other than those things, not a bad spot.

Beautiful Beach Location

Enjoyed our week at this 3 bedroom/3 bath property right on the beach with a great pool arrangement for kids. The condo was comfortable and extremely well located. We would absolutely stay there again!

Good visit

We had a great time at the property. Few issues early on with the water being shut off and would have liked more info on discount passes but overall we loved it and would definitely recommend!
