Great condo

This condo was great, clean, convenient. However there is only 1 parking space for the unit so our friend had to park far away and walk. Everything else was nice and and easy.

Needed vacation

Place was beautiful with huge deck. I would definately come back. Easy to walk down to baywarf and shuttle to beach. We rented a car which was a waste of money because we didn’t need it. The only complaint was the refrigerator and freezer. Went grocery shopping before we were able to get in at 4pm which is way too late for check in especially when place was empty. All frozen food did not freeze so had to throw out. Ice would just melt in freezer. I saw it on a review before we booked the place but was hoping it would have been fixed. Unfortunately not.

Labor Day weekend stay

The Property was nice and gave us plenty of room and a great location with that nice corner balcony and so convenient to the beach and Baytown Wharf shopping! Only issues were the unit had no oven mits or hot pads to remove items from the oven. We cook breakfast each morning and used the dish towels for hot pads. A window shade in the master bedroom didn't retract properly to let in light. And a skillet we removed from the cabinet to use for our breakfast was dirty, It appeared to still have egg residue on it. The cleaning crew might want to check the dishes before putting them away. Also, we had no dishwasher pods in our cleaning kit for the kitchen. FYI - The top of the frameless glass shower door in the guest bath is hitting the glass panel on the right and needs some maintenance attention before the glass breaks.

Could have been better

Overall description was good. However, it does not tell you the refrigerator is not full size - it’s larger than a dorm size, but it is small. More importantly, it will NOT keep food cold but the freezer does work. Yes - we reported it a couple of times and they supposedly worked on it. It was not safe to store food in it. So, we spent a lot of money on ice to keep food cold. Unit was somewhat clean but hair everywhere - it was not our hair. The building itself is old and run down. Now we know why there are no pictures of the building complex. Never did figure out what other pools we had access too. Would be helpful to have all that info in the condo. Disappointed with this trip.

Fabulous Condo

We have stayed in Sandestin before and this was our first time at Grand Sandestin. This unit was fantastic. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location was was great, literally a 5 minute walk to Baytowne Wharf by a private walkway. The on-site amenities like the gym and pool were just perfect. Customer service was as it should be and what all other companies are lacking!!! We had several questions during our stay and we’re always answered extremely timely and extra helpful. Can not recommend this unit and company enough. Overall fabulous stay!!!! Will be back in the future!!!

Spring break with family

This was our first time to Sandestin and we really loved the area! The condo was perfectly located to walk to everything in Baytowne Wharf. Loved the large balcony/patio! Having the kitchen and laundry is a must when traveling with kids so this was nice to have in the condo. Easy to navigate the building and parking. One thing to note - when they say a basic starter supply of dish soap, trash bags, etc, they mean it. We only had two kitchen size trash bags to use for the week. Also, no coffee filters or salt and pepper. Just fyi to put on your grocery list before arriving!

Great location. Nice place. We would stay here again. Only complaint is air made some type of loud noise every time it kicked on (both heat and cool)… not sure what it was. My husband thought maybe some type of hydraulic element on the dampers or something??? Very annoying and woke us up a few times. Surely it could be easily fixed.

Great place but….

This would be a 5 star rating if we had a working refrigerator. It wasn’t cool when we got there, but I just figured it needed a little time. I stocked it with groceries and ended up having to throw out all the meat and dairy ($$$), due to it getting too warm for too long. I was in communication with the property company, they finally sent a tech, but it was never fixed. Nice place, just not ideal to have a warm refrigerator on vacation with a family.

This unit is amazing. Sandestin is the crown jewel of the panhandle.

This was our second stay at Sandestin. We love the family friendly atmosphere and convenience of Baytowne. This property was beautiful! Two spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and large living space. The kitchen had everything we needed except coffee filters but luckily there is a walmart, publix, and winn-dixie(best of all 3) all within 10 mins from the resort. Don't let the pictures fool you; the outdoor patio is MASSIVE! The pool is just a few steps away from the hotel lobby and the tram will pick you up in front of the hotel and take you anywhere on the property you would like to go! Bring fishing gear! You are allowed to fish any of the property ponds, no license needed! The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the best place in or around Destin to stay by far! I highly recommend this property for both couples traveling alone or those with children. There is something for everyone here!

Great location.

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The property is gorgeous and convenient to so many things. We loved walking down to Baytown Wharf for dinner and fireworks. We also enjoyed sitting on the large back patio in the late evening. The beach is extremely crowded, so do be ready for that. After the first day we chose to drive down to a quieter beach. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Almost perfect…

This rental unit overall is really really nice. Clean, spacious, great large wrap around corner balcony, convenient to Baytowne, etc. As great as all that is, the real (and really only) major fault is with the beds. The beds are extremely uncomfortable as were the pillows. If you like a hard mattress then you may love them. The quality of the sheets were also just uncomfortable to lay on. But the biggest downfall to the beds is by far the bed height. I cannot understand the purpose of having beds so high that it literally took every ounce of my strength to climb up into the bed each time. (Not an exaggeration,). I can’t imagine an elderly individual would be able to get into these beds. Sitting on the edge of the bed, my feet were approximately 6-8 inches from touching the ground…and I am nearly 6ft tall. At a very minimum, I would highly recommend step stools to be included in order to aid in getting in and out of the bed. So as nice as everything else about this rental was, I had to bring down my overall rating due to fact that each of us got very little sleep and struggled with the beds for the above reasons.

Great unit, but some issues

Loved the unit and location. There were some maintenance issues. Front bathroom toilet would not flush correctly and the water fill would run continuously. Light bulbs in same bathroom would flicker. Each time I used the stove, I would need to reset the breaker switch. Owner had furniture delivered during my stay which was a huge inconvenience. I will give a shout out to the rep. from Vacation Haven who was apologetic about the continued delays in delivery of new furniture and pick up of old furniture. While not the control of the owner, the pool was closed to renters for a couple days to accommodate convention goers.

The room was absolutely amazing and the wrap around balcony was beautiful! Perfect neighbor good for a family. It was right next to the Village shopping and dining area which was amazing as well! Seriously the best trip my husband and I have been on yet!

The condo was beautiful and it was clean only downfall we didn’t know the resort included so much next time it would be nice to get a rundown of what’s inside the resort also construction was happening on the balcony so we couldn’t use it but other than that the stay was great
