”I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was spaceous and bed very comfy. There is free tea and popcorn and the terrace is a nice bonus. Breakfast was also good. Staff is very friendly and eager to help the guests. The B&B is about 5 min walk away from shops and restaurants. Altough it's Down/uphill. There is a corner shop and a soda few steps away, but I didn't try them. 4 star hotel for me. ”
”A beautiful mountain setting surrounded by nature and hordes of hummingbirds. We saw a trop of 15-20 Coati on the ride in one evening and dozens of hummingbirds at breakfast every morning. The staff is gracious and friendly and always willing ti held with a reservation for a local excursion to the Coffee/Chocolate Plantations or the Adventure parks in the area. our visit was truly outstanding!”
”This lodge isn’t for everyone, but for those whom it is well suited to it offers a wonderfully immersive rainforest experience. Our room was spacious and fairly comfortable and we felt very much like we were alone in the jungle while hotel and other amenities were very readily accessible.
My only caution is that those with mobility issues could find accessing some of the rooms very challenging due to steep walkways that must be climbed to reach some cabins. There are several on the same level...

”We visited Monteverde in the end of our vacation and it was definitely the right decision. Service was very polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and large, but cold, especially at nights. I think this was the best hotel for our purpose to visit the Monteverde forest area and there were also easy bus connections to Santa Elena. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious!”

Rooms are large, beds are comfortable and clean, parking is right in front and it’s a 3 minute walk to most restaurants and stores.

Pros: staff, easy to organize activities via reception, restaurant, hotel surroundings and trail. Also close to reserve (15 min walk).
Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated, as if they haven't touched them in 20 years or so? No aircon either, 1st night was very cold in the room. The pool area - the bar was never open, the water was cold and the games (pooltable, fussball etc.) were quite dirty. Also lots of birds nesting in the pool area roof...
