Enjoy your stay in this cosy houseboat in the Marina Monnickendam. This place is ideal for a family or group of 4-friends. The central location of this houseboat makes it even more attractive for the guests to spend their vacations here! Visit the centre of Monnickendam and enjoy fresh fish from the IJsselmeer. Volendam and Marken are easily accessible and offer a lot of entertainment and beautiful houses that perfectly depict the earlier Dutch culture. Renting a boat and enjoying a trip on the IJsselmeer or the Markermeer is also worth it. The houseboat has parking and a kitchenette, so you can easily prepare a simple meal. One of the bedrooms is specially equipped for children and you have a comfortable living room with TV and dining table.
Reservations for groups of persons under 21 years of age are not permitted It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house This holiday home is available for recreational purposes only. Bookings on behalf of companies will be cancelled and possible cancellation costs will be charged

Spinnenplage!
Wir hatten uns so sehr auf unseren Aufenthalt gefreut, mussten jedoch bei der Ankunft feststellen, dass das komplette Hausboot mit Spinnen übersäht war! Schrecklich! Der Bewohner nebenan warnte uns sogar, dass man aufpassen muss, dass einem keine Spinne über den Körper läuft. Selbst im Haus waren Spinnen. Wir konnten hier nicht bleiben, haben uns ein Hotel gebucht und sind direkt wieder abgereist.

Location OCCUPIED upon arrival, horrible customer service
The property was occupied by another group, causing me to incur additional expenses due to the last minute purchase of a hotel room. The property handled the situation horribly and weeks later hasnt replied to my multiple emails or even refunded what I paid for my stay. I arrived at the property after driving for 13 hours due to a closed highway in Amsterdam. The listing does not provide a code for the car gate, so I had to tail-gate someone into the property. The key code didn't work and through the window, I could see other people's belongings. I called the property manager's "emergency" customer service number and waited for 20 minutes for someone to pick up. The person assured me the property wasnt occupied and then gave me another code that didn't work and asked me to "hold" I held for over 50 minutes (over 1 hour total). At no time did the agent come back on the line, and after an hour he hung up. During this hold the occupants of the house I rented returned and informed me they rented the house for durantion of what I had rented it for. I quickly found another lodging option for hundreds more than In had paid VRBO. Several hours later the property manager called back and said he would "confirm" whether the property was in fact occupied. He stated his company would refund my money and pay the difference between what I paid VRBO and what my new reservation cost. I returned from this trip weeks ago. I emailed both the owner and the manager 2x. No reply.

Tolles Hausboot in einem Vorort von Amsterdam
Süßes kleines Hausboot - wir waren zu dritt dort - mehr wäre dann evtl. anstrengend. Die Beschreibung und Ankunft war perfekt beschrieben, so dass wir gleich die Schlüssel gefunden haben. Der Ort Monnickendam ist sehr süß und wir haben in einem abgesperrten Hafenbereich gelegen, von da aus konnte man alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die Bushaltestelle ist fast vor der Haustür (an der Hauptstraße) und ein Bus fährt alle 6 Minuten nach Amsterdam Centraal - die Fahrt dauert ca. 20 Minuten.

1-Nous avons perdu plus d’une heure pour entrer dans la péniche ( impossible de contacter l’hôte! Et code clés erroné) 2-il devait y avoir 3 chambres mais nous n’en avons que deux 3-un canapé lit dans le salon mais des stores détériorés, donc impossible d’y dormir 4-il était mentionné machine café n’essores si mais ce n’était pas le cas Heureusement village charmant mais abriter/bel villa finit pour nous

Ideal, um Amsterdam zu besichtigen
Sehr modernes Hausboot im Kanal eines Yachthafens gelegen. Sehr schöne Aussicht. Man hört leider etwas die Straße, was aber kein zu großer Mangel ist. Der Ort Monnikendam ist wunderschön. Nach Amsterdam gibt es eine hervorragende Busverbindung, die sich mit einer EC-Karte ohne Probleme nutzen lässt. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind eng, aber alles sehr gemütlich. Tagsüber wärmt sich das Hausboot auf. Nachts hatten wir nur 1 Grad und es war ziemlich kalt. Wenn man über Nacht die Heizung anlässt, ist dies jedoch kein Problem. Mit Familie ein tolles Erlebnis. Gerne wieder!

Friends on an adventure
Houseboat was great. It’s exactly what they advertise. There was only a half of a roll of toilet paper and we had a difficult time finding a supply store. I would suggest two rolls to make it easier. Space was clean and quiet. Enjoyed it! Thank you

Super Lage in Monnickendam! Gut Platz für 2 Personen und wenn man sich gut kennt auch für 4 Personen. Hatten das Glück den Besitzer vor Ort anzutreffen und hat uns alles erklärt.
