”It was a nice property, only issue I had was that the door bolt was not working properly and after someone came over to check it out, I was told that I didn’t need the door bolt to lock because the door wouldn’t open from the outside without a room key which didn’t leave me feeling very safe especially when staying there with my child. I chose not to request another room since we were already settled in and it was really late after having traveled for about 6 hours and wanting to just rest. ”

”The Carmel Beach Hotel is the very nicely refurbished/updated Colonial Terrace Hotel. We have stayed in the old property and now the new one. We really enjoyed our stay, the place has been very nicely updated. Outstanding location 1 block from the beautiful Carmel beach. We chose a room on San Antonio and had a small terrace with a clear ocean view. Excellent! ”The place itself is comfortable and rooms are of adequate size, my main problem with the place was the little amount of “breakfast” offered by the place. I was talking to the employees there and they told me they used to offer much more warm foods prior to Covid, but never went back and kept breakfast to a minimum, which I guess they saw it as a way to save money, but for the price they charge they should have gone back to serving a more decent breakfast again.”

”Good place especially for families with kids. However, the restaurant service is poor--slow, tables not ready for reservation time (even when few people, they had us wait in the lobby and then after leading us to the table they combined them in front of us while we waited in between diners/other tables).
