”When they say that 4x4 with high clearance is required, it is no joke. At least if you turn from Rt 142 driving from Monteverde. 6km of off roading at crawl speed. Fun if you are prepared. The road from the opposite direction is better paved, but you would still feel more comfortable in a SUV. Google does not estimate driving time on bad roads correctly. ”Very comfortable accommodation. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. Hammock was a treat. Kitchen had everything we needed including coffee. But waking up with the view of the volcano and the noises of animals around us were amazing. The bed was super comfortable and the place was perfect for what we needed while we were there. ”
