This is a problem with Expedia rather than the hotel. I needed to cancel my reservation but could not find the mechanism in Expedia to do so. I finally resorted to emailing the hotel directly and received a reply that they got my message and were working on my request. Obviously my request got way laid since I didn't hear from them again but thought that I had canceled my reservation. On the night we were originally scheduled to arrive I get a call at 10 pm asking where we were and I informed the attendant that I had canceled about a month previously. I felt terrible that she had stayed at the reception until 10 pm but I feel that it was really not my fault and I couldn't do anything about it at the time. I have been charged for the two nights - $285.90 - and don't expect to receive anything back. I do have the email where they said they were working on my request. I am sure the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. My rating is more for Expedia which made the whole problem to begin with by not having a clear mechanism to cancel a reservation even in their app. Lisa Buchanan
