”The property was awesome. The rooms were nice. Staff was so nice, kind and helpful. Food was good. Animals were possible to see with some patience. We did the trail next to the hotel - so convenient. Drinks were delicious. ”

”We were going back and forth between a few different properties and we are so glad we ended up going with this one!!! The staff was amazing and attentive (especially Hamid and Kevin), the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible, the bedding was great, and the grounds made you feel like you were on a retreat. We loved the intimate feel and getting to know the staff. We were sad to leave but look forward to the opportunity to return!”

”The room including the bathroom was very spacious and clean. Rooms had a good variety of coffee/tea plus bathroom amenities (lotion, shampoo, etc.). Breakfasts were filling and balanced but were lacking in animal protein. Overall the hotel and trails were very enjoyable. The only downsides: location (a bit further from town center) and restaurant was quite pricey (not sure if the food was worth the cost).”

”We stayed 4 nights in Fonda Vela.
Pros: staff, easy to organize activities via reception, restaurant, hotel surroundings and trail. Also close to reserve (15 min walk).
Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated, as if they haven't touched them in 20 years or so? No aircon either, 1st night was very cold in the room. The pool area - the bar was never open, the water was cold and the games (pooltable, fussball etc.) were quite dirty. Also lots of birds nesting in the pool area roof...
But hey, most...
