”The place was well maintained with a garden and access to beautiful trails, Aguti wildlife trail in particular. Not many vegetarian options for food, but there are restaurants nearby. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful.”

”We stayed 4 nights in Fonda Vela. Pros: staff, easy to organize activities via reception, restaurant, hotel surroundings and trail. Also close to reserve (15 min walk). Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated, as if they haven't touched them in 20 years or so? No aircon either, 1st night was very cold in the room. The pool area - the bar was never open, the water was cold and the games (pooltable, fussball etc.) were quite dirty. Also lots of birds nesting in the pool area roof... But hey, most...

”Really great stay at Monteverde Lodge. The staff was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
