”Hotel Belmar was the perfect place to stay in Monteverde. Since we were working remotely for most of our trip, the meeting rooms and Wi-Fi were excellent—quiet, comfortable, and reliable for video calls.
The biggest surprise was the birdlife around the hotel. We actually saw more birds from the terrace than on some of the wildlife tours we took. Since we were working and couldn’t spend all day exploring, it felt like we had our own birdwatching experience right from the hotel. We could even...

”Really enjoyed our stay here! One of our favorite places we stayed at! The fire pit and the views were stunning! We got some beautiful photos.
The server in the restaurant I forget his name but he was wonderful as well.
We also did the avocado trail and it was nice but we went a little late so it started getting dark. Def recommend doing it earlier in the day. Overall, very clean and friendly staff. Recommend!”

”Our family absolutely loved Koora Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely cared for by the staff (especially Jason who has already reached out to me in advance to understand our arrival time) and fell in love with the setting, which is nestled beautifully into the mountain forest. The service was impeccable, and the view overlooking the Monteverde cloud forest from the restaurant was truly epic.
The food was so fantastic that we ended up eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner there...

”Gorgeous property with a few walking trails and complimentary access to the nature reserve where we spotted monkeys and toucans!! Room was clean and they provided a bottle of complimentary champagne for our anniversary. On site restaurant was delicious. We especially loved roasting s’mores at night. Incredible stay can’t wait to return”

”We stayed 4 nights in Fonda Vela.
Pros: staff, easy to organize activities via reception, restaurant, hotel surroundings and trail. Also close to reserve (15 min walk).
Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated, as if they haven't touched them in 20 years or so? No aircon either, 1st night was very cold in the room. The pool area - the bar was never open, the water was cold and the games (pooltable, fussball etc.) were quite dirty. Also lots of birds nesting in the pool area roof...
But hey, most...
