This is an upstairs unit. Two bedrooms and one bath + washer & dryer.
The building is just 2 or three miles from several museums.... The Legacy Museum, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Freedom Rides Museum, Rosa Parks Musuem, Civil Rights Memorial, The First White House of the Confederacy and the Dexter Parsonage Museum.

Founded less than two years after the end of the Civil War as the Lincoln Normal School in Marion, Alabama, it is one of the oldest HBCUs in the United States. Nine ex-slaves, Joey Pinch, Thomas Speed, Nickolas Dale, James Childs, Thomas Lee, John Freeman, Nathan Levert, David Harris, and Alexander H. Curtis, made up the first Board of Trustees. Under their guidance, the black and white community of Marion raised five hundred dollars to buy land for the school’s campus.

Things were clean. There were locks for all the doors. House was old and neighborhood looked kinda sketchy. Main problem was the highway noise. Sirens and loud cars zooming by all night keeping us awake.

Great place to lay your head down and rest. The apartment is very cute with an eclectic mix of decor. Beds are nice and comfy and the balcony patio allows you to step outside for a breath of fresh air without having to leave the apartment.

It was central to all the Montgomery locations I was visiting, short drive times.Host had no control but city was paving the street there and sometimes had to deal with one lane trafic during the day. At night no problem, again host had no control of this. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The area was a little shady looking at first glance,the shirtless man in the front definitely didn't help. Some of the decor of the unit was questionable, borderline offensive if you're of African decent. Overall it was convenient location, and the host had great communication.

I was very pleased by my stay. The place was incredibly clean. The layout was very nice with all sorts of collectables and such that added to the ambiance. Kitchen was very well equipped. The bath towels were not some cheap KMart models. Heck they were thicker than I've found in some Hotels. Strongly recommend a stay.

A nice walk thru history

I'm a history buff. So I was pleasantly surprised to see this really nice small apartment. The art and decorations were really cool. I hadn't seen a rotary phone in years. It was comfortable, safe, clean, and conveniently located. Just bring ear buds because of traffic noise and there are stairs. I have no complaints though and Alexander was kind and helpful.

Great Stay

The area was not what I was expecting but the neighborhood is very quiet. Home was clean and provided lots of essential. The beds were very very comfortable. The host was phenomenal with communication. Overall the place was nice and I will be booking again.

Quick stay

Came for the weekend. For some reason the water in the bathroom gave us issues and would turn off. A call to the owner and a repair man came but it required manual on/off the rest of the stay.

Scary location

We got there and we unloaded and inside was pretty nice except electric cords everywhere We got there at night. We went out to eat and next door there was a sign that said something about the neighborhood and it really scarred us. So noisy and scary that we got up and left and went to Prattville and stayed in a hotel. We will never recommend or stay there again. No communication either. Of course no refund. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. We should have gotten 1 night refund if they were honest people in the business.

Very Dirty

This is the dirtiest short-term rental I’ve ever seen. There was a sticky layer of dust on every surface. The baseboards have not been wiped down in years. The kitchen has a k-cup coffee maker, but there were no k-cups provided, and no indication that a regular coffee pot was not available. There was dog hair all over the unit. I could go on about how dirty it was, but I won’t. I ended up checking out early, because I couldn’t take the filth.
