This is a hotel that a company or time share have blocked rooms for rental.
The only time a person is in sight is at 4:00 pm every night, which is check-in time. The people at the desk work for the hotel & tell you, you have to call Werfy Luxury Appartments for your needs. I spilt something on the elevator & had asked the front desk for paper towels or a cloth to clean it up & they would not help me. After all, guest use their hotel also & you would think they would help you with something like that.
We arrived a couple of hours early & had to pay an extra $100 for early check-in. We sat in our car for an hour waiting for a call back or message. Then I realized that if you wanted any additional service you had to make an electronic payment thru their link before you get any response. By the time I was notified that I could get in my room it cost me $100 for an extra hour. I have stayed in plenty of hotels out of the country & have never been charged for arriving an hour or two early.
Rooms are clean & provide you with everything you have at home, except for tissues.
The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute ride to both downtown & the old port. All of the restaurants we saw in the area were mostly pizza, subs & fast food.
We spent our time in the Old City & loved the area. That is where we will stay the next time.
