”It was early in the season when we visited this year. It was super quiet, the breakfast is always a great perk of staying here, the location is perfect and the large front porch area is my favorite part of the Inn on Mackinac!! Hearing the clopping of the horses and being just outside of the busiest part of Main Street makes the town feel even more special! Our room also had a great view of Main Strret and we were even high enough to see the harbor! It was a Great visit!”

”Good location for walking to downtown and to the ferries. Mediocre hotel. One of our 2 rooms was not ready until 45 minutes after check-in--despite the receptionist calling me on my cell to tell me that the room was ready. Upon arriving back at the hotel, after leaving an enjoyable dinner at a restaurant because of this phone call, we were told that she called us "by mistake." The room was not ready. ”Door to the pool was closed all day. Breakfast was boring. No coffee on the lobby. Stinky old hotel and staff was rude.”

”The staff was helpful and friendly. Porch was inviting and well-situated. Tea & coffee facilities were most appreciated. Installing an elevator is a must especially for physically-challenged guests. Providing non-sugary cold cereal eg granola as well as plain Greek yoghurt would be preferable. Adding brown bread options for toast would help. The shared bathrooms were ok, but at least offering some rooms with sink and en suite bathrooms would upgrade the experience.”

”Erick at the front desk was very helpful. Super convenient location to the ferry to Mackinac island. Washers and dryers available for our laundry and I’ve machines to fill coolers. They allowed us to leave our vehicle there for our overnight visit to the island which was VERY helpful. You can walk to many things from the hotel. Would recommend as a budget friendly option.”

”Couldn’t use the balcony we paid extra to reserve due to mayflies swarming it, the hotel doesn’t do anything about this; many other hotels in the area are same on this issue. Swimming pool was heavily over chlorinated, had to open windows because smell of chlorine was so bad several guests were getting watery eyes just sitting next to pool. The hot tub has really nice warm water but the jets are broken so that they turn on but bubble up the sides only where chunks of tile are missing. Restaurant...
