”Lovely older style pub hotel close to retaurants and bars. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Bathroom spotless and newly refurbished. Access to parking across the road was easy and perfectly acceptable.”

”Viihtyisä, rauhallinen ja tosi Englantilainen hotelli.”

”The room was clean and had usual amenities for tea, coffee and also some cookies. The manager was polite and to the point, though no warm repartee/ conversation. The breakfast ( full English) was exceptional. The room we had faced a fenced in green field site that looked as though it had been used to dump construction materials , plastic chairs and rubble.., The hotel has no control of that, and this was a minor distraction. We learned from local folks that the food here is very good, though...

”Location was ideal for an overnight stay on the way to Scotland. Home cooked food in the restaurant was great. Parking was very convenient.”

”Our room in the coach house was compact but was very clean, had everything we needed and overall satisfactory. Our room faced the main road so lots of traffic noise. The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.”

”Excellent location near Lancaster, just off M6. Lovely pub, lovely breakfast too. Plenty of parking. Compact room, neat, tidy, good supplies. Comfortable bed. Tea & coffee makings & small kettle. Only issue was room was really hard to ventilate, so was very warm (good for winter tho!)”
