”It was a great place to stay, we enjoyed it, host were wonderful, personal touches was a great surprise. It was our anniversary get away and they left us decorations and cookies. Very clean and nice. ”

”Really nothing special. Furniture in back was thrown all around. Nothing was set up. Dirty ashtrays sitting on tables in back and front of home. Ants in bathroom. It wasn’t as pleasant as we thought it would be. Some of the towels looked dirty etc. very surprising.”

”The tiny home is beautiful. Clean. Quiet. The grounds are lovely. Park like setting. The location is perfect. Close to Asheville. Close to the Blueridge Parkway. Great food close by. I recommend this place for anyone who wants some R&R and/or shopping and eating in Asheville, NC. Beautiful scenery is all around. I had a great time.Sonya”

”We fully enjoyed our stay at Sitting Bear cottage. It was super clean and perfectly outfitted for us to enjoy the fall leaves with family. Wonderful location surrounded by nature and close proximity to wonderful trails, sights and food. Looking forward to many future stays at this and other Flying Squirrel Cottages!”

”Comfy cabin on the mountain. Hot tub was hot and deer came to the back yard to be fed. We loved it!”

”Our daughter wanted to spend her 8th birthday in the mountains with snow and this cabin was the perfect place to do it! We skied at Beech Mountain, went tubing at Sugar Mountain and got to sit in the hot tub while snow fell down around us! We even got deer as visitors who slept right below the living room windows! We enjoyed our stay and the hosts have furnished the place with thoughtful things like a towel warmer, a record player and coffee bar! Very thankful for a washer and dryer to help...

”Comfortable and welcoming home. There were many extra items in the kitchen (i.e., condiments, coffee, spices, oils and syrups). That's a huge plus to us. Very comfortable bed. Good central location to get anywhere in Hickory quickly.Nicely decorated. If we are in the area again, we will definitely look this place and owner up!”

”The house is perfect for 1 or 2 people. The kitchen had plenty of dishes to use for meals and the bed was comfortable. Host was quick to answer calls if I had a question. ”
