Morpeth also offers the ruins of a historic castle, lovely parks, riverside walks, ancient architecture and churches, and an old chantry with a bagpipe museum. There is also access to the Simonside and Cheviot Hills, which offer excellent hiking opportunities amidst stunning scenery.
