”Would of liked to stay in a yurt/but we just happened ontothis VRBO and were fortunate to grab a cancellation timeslot. Ended up loving the spot. Seemed more secluded then the yurts. The owners thought of everything.(except a bathroom sink, but the kitchen sink is fine. Bed was comfortable. And the community sharing at the red barn was another thoughtful plus to the property. Great location for exploring the Acadia area. Book it ! You won't regret it.”

The rental was perfect for our family of 3, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was even a little grocery store less than a 1/4 mile down the road. It was about a 25 minute drive to get to most of the big Acadia sites since they are on the other side of the Island, like the Jordan Pond House, Thunder Hole, and Sieur De Mont.However, we considered that a good thing because it was much quieter and relaxing out in Southwest Harbor. ”This was the most amazing experience. Everything was perfect. We had everything we needed and was able to take a five minute drive to a nearby IGA for food and supplies, and had lovely restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the short drive to the bottom of Long Pond for hiking and a peaceful, beautiful place to read and sit to start and end our days. The campground was just so peaceful and beautiful. I highly recommend.”

The thoughtful touches such as the games, travel coffee mugs and well stocked fire pit and activity closet make this rental stand out against all the others. ”We stayed just over a week and really enjoyed all of it. The facility and property in general weee great; our hosts made everything easy and prepared the Yurt beautifully. We had not stayed in one before, but were very pleasantly surprised. They even provided eye covers and earplugs if you wanted to use them. I did not use them, but I thought it evidence of the attention to detail. You should try it!”
