”Mick—at the front desk— is a a true gift. A super ambassador for the property and for Salida. (My wife and I sat in the lobby two nights playing cards.) Mick made everyone feel welcome throughout.
There are some WiFi issues that the owners need to work on. Otherwise, this is our favorite place to stay in Salida.”
”The room was very spacious and clean. Finding a place to stay as a family with 4 kids isn't always easy, but our room had a king bed, pull out couch/bed, and full size bunk beds. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be staying here the next time we come through. Only complaint was that it wasn't ready at check in time, but the staff was very nice and reassuring while we waited. The strawberry waffles at breakfast are just the icing on the cake for this hotel!”

The manager said us a barbecue works, but the gas was out, and he was not willing to do anything for it (even though the gas station was 2 min walk away). Overall mediocre experience, but I guess that’s what you can expect for the price.”
”The balcony view was beautiful. It's open, making it easy to connect with other guests. The space is quiet, clean, and faces the mountains at the back of the property. We especially enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds at the active feeders.
One downside is that there's no way to control the temperature in the room. One of us slept well, while the other woke up feeling hot. If you prefer a cooler sleeping environment, consider bringing a portable fan—and don’t forget an extension...
