”We had high hopes for our stay at the Salida Inn and Monarch Suites, but unfortunately the experience fell short in several areas. Breakfast: Described as complimentary breakfast, but “breakfast” is a generous term. The spread consisted of prepackaged muffins, toast, bagels, cold cereal, and the only fruit available was apples. ”What a great place to stay. When I first arrived, I was met by the general manager, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was real food and 100% delicious. I will most definitely stay there again when in town.”

”Mountain Goat Lodge is an absolute GEM of a bed and breakfast! Located at the base of the Sawatch Mountain Range, this charming inn is home to a small herd of friendly goats, a seriously fantastic breakfast spread and the absolutely most comfortable beds. We feel lucky to have found this incredible place and made sure to purchase their delectable homemade goats milk yogurt (10/10 recommend.) My husband and I cannot wait to stay again!! ”

”The property is as vey nice, clean, easy to engage the check in process. The balcony overlooking the river, *chef’s kiss*! The location was perfect for, and selected for, being able to walk around the main part of downtown. Easy access to shopping and dining. The ONLY real detractor, for us mind you, was that very proximity. The nightlife was vibrant and, well, loud. If you’re into that sort of scene this would be perfect for you. If you go to bed at 9p like us, something to consider. All in all...

”The motel was little bit rundown. We almost run out of toilet paper as they only provided 1 roll. The manager said us a barbecue works, but the gas was out, and he was not willing to do anything for it (even though the gas station was 2 min walk away). Overall mediocre experience, but I guess that’s what you can expect for the price.”
