”The Hotel Basilica is great! It’s in an old and well-preserved building with courtyards, comfortable public spaces and lots of plants and art. It’s only a few minutes walk from all of the main sights of colonial Quito. The best part of Hotel Basilica is the staff. From beginning to end, we were greeted by name, given advice on places to go and treated like family members. Gracias Hotel Basilica!”

”We had an overall great stay at this hotel. The customer service was truly excellent — the staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. The building uses a solar water heating system instead of gas, and unfortunately there was no hot water for one full day. ”Great location-just 1 block north of Plaza Grande (as hotels.com says but contrary to what Google maps say as of today: and you'll need to tell cabs/ubers/...). My room was quite quiet despite of being right downtown. The people running the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I'd certainly stay at Casa Colonial again.”
