Very beautiful apartment

Everything was as described and we were happy. Location is remote, so car is of course necessary. The Margarita village was nice.

Exceptional villa

We absolutely loved our stay in Green Paradise. A beautiful villa with a really good mix of traditional features with well appointed modern facilities. The villa is nice and spacious and very faithful to its on line photos. The outside is actually much nicer in reality with the most spectacular views which only get better when the sun sets. The little town of Margaretes is only couple of minutes by car and about a 10 min walk. It has a nice selection of tavernas and little ceramics shops. We really enjoyed the food at all the places we ate at in the village. You will definitely need a car to explore the local area and really recommend the town and beach at Bali and Panorma. Elias the host was always very quick to respond to questions and both check in and check out was very easy and efficient. The villa was cleaned very thoroughly 3 times in our 11 day stay so that was great. Thanks again - we had the most fabulous holiday and would not hesitate to visit again.

Best Villa We've Ever Stayed In

We had a wonderful stay at Green Paradise. The location of the villa is perfect. Walking distance to tavernas and a small supermarket. The town of Margaritas is full of pottery shops (and many tourists!). The villa is bigger inside than it looks in the photos - not that we spent much time indoors, even at the start of October. The upstairs terrace has comfy furniture, stunning views over the mountains, and to the sea. The Roman stepped pool was cleaned every couple of days. The loungers were comfy and pool towels supplied. The outside garden is a lovely space, and the gazebo shelters the outdoor table and chairs. The BBQ area is well set up, though we only used it a couple of times as eating out was so cheap. There is parking for one car inside the gates to the property, under a lemon tree. The property was easy to find, and communications with Elias were good. Everyone in the village knows Elias! The jacuzzi bath in the massive downstairs bathroom was a luxury. The villa was cleaned 3 times during our 13 night stay and the bath and hand towels replaced each time. We managed to do plenty of sightseeing, whilst having the perfect space to return to and relax. There is a larger supermarket in Perama just up the road. The washing machine meant we brought no laundry home. The added bonus was the family of cats with two kittens who came to visit daily. Perfection!

Green Paradise lives up to it's name - an excellent villa in the hills!

This is a lovely villa close to the charming village of Margarites. The property was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The pool area is quite large with a shaded table which is ideal for lunch or dinner outside. The pool is cleaned every two days and the villa was cleaned twice during our nine night stay. The owner and his son were very welcoming and the water fruit and wine which were waiting for us were very welcome after a long journey. The bedrooms are airy and the air-conditioning works very well to keep you comfortable and to cool the bedrooms down before bedtime. The village of Margarites has several lovely tavernas, a couple of well stocked small supermarkets, a nice bakery and many many ceramics shops, all less than 10 minutes away. I would recommend this villa to anyone who wants a peaceful holiday in comfort!

Perfect!

This villa was perfect for our family. The kids would have happily stayed here and enjoyed the pool for the whole holiday! It was in an ideal location, as it was walking distance to margaritas, which we fell in love with. Thank you Elias for an amazing stay!

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus! Alle 2 Tage wurde das Haus gereinigt! Der Pool als auch der gesamte Außenbereich war sehr gepflegt. 👍 Als etwas negativ war das kein deutsches Fernsehen zu empfangen war (hätten uns gerne das eine oder andere Fußball EM Spiel angeschaut, leider war die SAT Anlage falsch ausgerichtet! War aber nicht schlimm dank Internet kein Problem! Danke an den Vermieter für den schönen Aufenthalt 😁

Good stay at Green Paradise

he property is comfortable with good quality fittings. The outside space and pool are not as large as the photos suggest (this is usual for a holiday let) they are very pleasant. The swimming pool was really nice with steps that you could sit on to keep cool – there is no shallow end for children. All three bedrooms are large with air conditioning. We only used the downstairs bedroom where the air conditioning worked very well even in a heatwave. The living dining area was comfortable and well equipped with good quality facilities – it may be a little small for 6 people – all the bedrooms are large and have chairs and TV’s . The large downstairs bathroom and toilet is good but there is no downstairs shower cubicle. As per all properties in Crete the used toilet paper goes in the bin not down the loo. There is a large easy to access parking area that would easily fit a large car but is not big enough for two – you could probably find a space near by if necessary. The parking area has a gate for privacy. When you first approach the property the area looks down at heel, don’t be put off by this the local people are friendly and helpful. The property is in a good location quiet but near a village with amenities. If the weather is not too hot you can walk into Margarites where there is a convenience store (first shop on the left as you get to town) and a few Tavernas. Tolles Haus mit schöner Anlage 😊

Die Buchung und Bezahlung hat sehr gut geklappt. Der Vermieter war bei Fragen immer für uns da und sehr nett 👍. Wir waren mit 4 Personen in dem Haus. Dafür war es perfekt geeignet. In das Dorf Margarites sind wir immer zu Fuß gegangen 10-15 min 😊, da gibt es sehr schönen Tavernen mit hervorragender griechischer Küche 😊. Ansonsten benötigt man in dem Ort schon ein Auto. Alles in allem eine sehr schöner Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Haus.

Paradise found!

Lovely 10 days in Green Paradise. Well equipped, beautiful mountain views and of the sunset from the balcony. Relaxing gardens and pool. Ideally situated for the picturesque village of Margarites with at least 4 tavernas in walking distance. Elias was very helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommend!

Just amazing! Everything was nice and very clean, nice location, a little walk to the next supermarket. For other things you need a car but that wasn’t a problem! Elias is very nice and helps if it would be necessary!

A spacious and clean villa with everything you need for your stay and a great host. Lovely rooms, outside area and great pool located in a beautiful village and near margaritas. Beautiful views from the terrace, would go back there.

Excellent villa in remote location

This was our first return to Crete for 40 years and nothing has changed! Villa fabulous but location fairly remote - especially when looking to buy fresh fish or meat. However there are 2 or 3 tavernas in the nearby village which can be recommended. Overall, very good accommodation and pool.

Top. Very nice villa

A lot of very good ratings for this very nice property and its host are already made. And they are true! We spent 2 weeks with 6 people there and enjoyed a very relaxing time including the amazing view to the mountains and the horizon of the ocean. Green paradise has everything you need and even more. The villa is in a very good shape and all rooms are newly renovated. The location itself is a very good starting point to explore all the interesting places in the area. Margarites is a walking distance away. It’s a small, nice village with some very good restaurants/taverna’s. The hospitality of the people is great. Elias is very kind and showed a great hospitality, too. We would highly recommend this house. Ralf & family

Super Villa mit ruhiger Lage

Super schöne Villa in ruhiger Lage. Wir waren zur 4. (2 Paare) in der Green Paradise Villa. Elias ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber was den Aufenthalt noch einmal aufgewertet hat. Die Villa und der Außenbereich sind perfekt für einen schönen Urlaub mit Freunden oder Familie. Sobald es Probleme gab kam der Gastgeber sofort vorbei und hat Sie in kürzester Zeit gelöst. Der einzige negative Punkt ist die Lage. Man sollte sich auf längere Autofahrten einstellen da die Villa auf einem Berg steht. Die KM Angaben zum nächsten Strand sind gering ziehen sich allerdings durch die Berge mit engen Kurven. Wir waren 11 Tage hier und nach 3-4 mal gewöhnt man sich schnell an die Strecke und hat keine Probleme mehr. Ich würde diese Villa weiterempfehlen und auch wieder dort Urlaub machen. Danke Elias für alles.

Geweldige vakantie dankzij fantastische villa en goede zorgen van Elias

Met 4 volwassen en 3 kinderen in de leeftijd 0-2 hebben we 11 heerlijke dagen gehad in deze villa. De villa is volledig kidsproof en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Elias had voordat we kwamen al kinderstoelen en kinderbedjes geregeld en ook speelgoed klaargelegd voor onze kinderen. In combinatie met het fantastische zwembad hadden ze een heerlijke tijd. Met al onze vragen konden we bij Elias terecht en van hem ontvingen we zelfs een heerlijke traditionele Griekse maaltijd door zijn vrouw bereid. Ook de schoonmaakster was zeer vriendelijk en maakte het huis iedere keer weer perfect in orde. Op 10 minuten lopen ligt het dorpje Margarites. Een heerlijke uitvalsbasis om in de ochtend vers brood te halen bij de bakker of gewoon lekker uiteten te gaan met een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. Al met al was het mede dankzij de fantastische villa en de goede zorgen van Elias een vakantie om nooit meer te vergeten. We raden iedereen dan ook deze villa aan!

Well named paradise

The property is in excellent condition, well appointed, with great facilities. The village contains a number of tavernas, a couple of tourist gift shops and a plethora of pottery shops and workshops, all within walking distance. There is a larger town about 10 minutes drive away with several supermarkets, a health centre and pharmacy, and great beaches within easy driving distance. Elias is the perfect host; unobtrusive, yet attentive to your needs. We had a great holiday (2 adults and 4 grown-up children) and this property gets a well deserved 5* from us.

Well furnished, well equipped ideal for a relaxing stay

Most enjoyable time spent at the villa. The lovely area to eat outside all the time and the added bonus of a BBQ. The top floor balcony was an ideal place to sit and relax in the evening with a drink and wonderful views. A super place to stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Great villa-ideal for families, fantastic host

I can’t praise the Green Paradise villa enough. We had a great stay there-our first family holiday with a 4 month old, and another couple. The set-up is ideal and extremely well laid out-great outdoor seating area just outside the kitchen, and a well placed pool. Elias is a great host-nothing was too much trouble while we were there-we had a couple of issues and he was always on hand to reply to emails within 20-30 minutes if that was the right option, or to come over within 30 minutes and fix the sunbed we had managed to damage! His wife even cooked us some delicious local cuisine. All in all I would thoroughly recommend the Green Paradise villa for a great stay.

Schöne Unterkunft in einem sehr schönen Ort

Die Villa entspricht grundsätzlich der Darstellung auf den Bildern. Die moderne Einrichtung ist schon ein bisschen älter...Die weiße Couch bröckelt etwas. Der moderne Kaffeeautomat funktionierte nicht richtig; ebenso die Whirlwanne im Bad. Bei Ankunft war nicht alles ganz sauber, wurde aber unverzüglich nach Beanstandung nachgebessert. Danach alle 4 Tage Bettwäsche- und Handtuchwechsel und Grundreinigung. Das war schon top. Der Pool wurde auch alle 1-2 Tage gereinigt und war in gutem Zustand. Das Außengelände war sehr gepflegt. Der Ort Margarites ist ein sehr sehr schönes kleines Töpferdorf. Wir haben regelmäßig in einer kleinen Taverne unter Bäumen mit herrlichem Ausblick gespeist...und das gut und für wenig Geld. Auch die kleinen Läden sind schön und haben tolle Töpferware. Man kann vielen beim Töpfern über die Schulter schauen. In einem Laden gibt es getöpferte Heißluftballons handbemalt zum Aufhängen. Wunderschön. Der Vermieter Elias hat uns einmal mit selbstgemachten gefüllten Gemüse versorgt. Heimische Küche...Sehr lecker. Die Villa liegt im Landesinneren und man braucht schon 15-20 Minuten bis zum Strand. Wir waren mit 2 kleinen Kindern da und mussten eher noch weiter fahren um einen schönen größeren Sandstrand ohne Steine zu finden. Auch Wanderausflüge sind auf den ausgezeichneten Wegen nahezu nur mit Auto und in einiger Entfernung umzusetzen. Grundsätzlich hat man bei der Villa seine Ruhe. Es herrscht kein Autoverkehr. In der Nacht wurden wir einige Male von bellenden Hunden aus der Nachbarschaft wach gehalten. Aber das ist wohl überall auf der Insel eher üblich. Unterm Strich haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und empfehlen die Unterkunft weiter.

Trés belle villa au calme

Trés belle villa à l'intérieur des terres près de Rethymnon. L'endroit est calme et la villa est très bien équipée ! Elias est très accueillant et nous le remercions pour le petit repas qu'il nous a préparé durant la semaine. Le petit village de Margarites à coté est typique et plein de charme. Petite dédicace à "Cornichon" le chat, surveillant de la villa. On y retournerait sans hésiter! Thank you for all Elias !! Thomas,

It was great !
