First, our check-in experience was a disaster. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. We were told that we would not be receiving the three-bedroom suite we had booked through Expedia, and when I explained that I had not been notified of any change, I was essentially accused of lying. I did not receive a call from Expedia until around 6 PM on October 24, informing me of the downgrade. The way your staff handled this situation was extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. Blaming me for booking through a 3rd party. If booking a 3rd party is an issue then you should remove your hotel from Expedia.
After checking in, we were sent to another area to “complete our information.” We were told we could each receive a $100 gift card if we attended a 90-minute presentation about the property. We were shown a list of available gift card options, and we were genuinely excited to participate. Then, without any explanation, the representative named Ken abruptly told us “never mind,” and that we would no longer be eligible for the gift cards or the presentation. This was misleading and a waste of our time. It’s unacceptable to make such offers and then revoke them without reason.
As if that wasn’t enough, the room conditions were completely unsanitary. We found roaches in the kitchen, bugs in the beds, and a few stink bugs attached to our patio. Both the hotel and Expedia are refusing to refund. We were given two $25 giftcards from a manager which is like a slap in the face.
