We didn’t appreciate not being able to cancel our reservation without being penalized for the entire cost of stay, nor was it explained to us, nor did we ever receive a copy of receipt in person or by email as was stated at front desk. We feel robbed, someone could have told us your policy, that would have been the proper thing to do as we might have reconsidered our stay. The physical location itself wasn’t terrible, the room was clean, the front desk guy was nice, the other guests were friendly, it just wasn’t our vibe with pet rabbits and huge dogs, not to mention people cooking in their room?? We have stayed at La Quinta in other cites and really enjoyed it, but this time certainly leaves a sour feeling and will affect our future plans to visit another of your locations. Honesty goes a long way and we understand policy but clarity is important too. In the future make your policy well known to cut down on confusion, I for one would appreciate it.
