This hotel was run down with no pride of ownership. The beds were horrible, the linens were thin and old, there was mold in the bathroom, the microwave was rusted out but other than that, it was somewhat clean What I liked was it was on the beach

Woken up at 1:30 am by bedbug looking bugs in bed. Management was called. Kept telling me they have a company that handles bugs. But what good was that when they had no other room. Getting a refund but what good was that at 3:00am when you need to find a room where every place had no vacancies.

The rooms walls were filthy and all the trim and anything dirt could possibly sit on was disgusting like it hadn't been clean for a year.

Considering a last minute trip for 1night getaway with my 2 girls. We ended up arriving around 9am. Of course did not want to pay for parking so I went into the lobby to see if was okay to park on site and hit the beach as planned. The lady was decent enough to allow that and we went on our way. We came back around 12:30/1pm and went ahead and got an early check in which was awesome. Considering we normally get a 3/4star we made do with what was available. And surprisingly this was decent considering that looks on the outside of the motel. It’s pretty basic. You got the bed to sleep in and the bathroom. If you’re lucky you got a stove with kitchen needs. With being at the beach you know the sand will be coming in the room. If you’re like me and can stand walking on sand while inside then bring a broom(one is not implied into the room) The one night we stayed there was nasty storms overnight. 60mph winds hail etc the rain was bad enough that water was coming into the main door from the top. And sounded like the doors wanted to cave in and whistle. Overall the outside was very clean. If being a last minute trip would most likely stay again.

Our stay wasn’t bad at all! It was the only hotel that didn’t have a ridiculous pet policies and fees. It was right next to the beach and had easy access to it and the yard for our pups. The owner even talked with us to insure we were enjoying our time. I will say the only thing that I had an issue with was the hair that was in the bathroom, it didn’t look like it had been wiped off. But overall it was a nice stay!

I liked being right at the beach. our room had a balcony facing the ocean. The fridge and coffee maker were clean but the toaster and stove were rusted pretty good.

Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. Told me to leave the property after I had booked online and chose the pay in person option. I had come from the airport and was left having to find last minute accommodation. I was a young woman alone at night and I was shouted at and dismissed

The hotel certainly met our needs. It was no frills, but we didn’t mind. Staff was nice and was gracious enough to let us check in a smidge early. Easy access to the beach, lots of things to do on S Ocean Blvd. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great! Price affordable. The beds were comfortable. The room needs updating. Bathroom tub tap dripped all night. Full size fridge was great, but from the 80's. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It appears that locals rent rooms on weekly or monthly basis.

Great place for a great price. The motel was very clean and everyone was very nice! This is also a very pet friendly place. Will definitely be back!

Several water stains running down wall from ceiling to floor. Mold in bathroom on tile, and floor. Doors worn away at bottom and along edges. Flies, living and dead, throughout room. Hair from previous guests (or housekeepong) throughout: on counter, in bathroom, in sheets. Decor and beach view were nothing like the pictures. Smoke stains up wall in kitchenette. Air Conditioner locked on 75 with no way to adjust. When we said something, the owner juat offered another room, no refund. We got rooms at another hotel questioning what we couldn't see based upon the terrible conditions we could see. Owner's family was sitting outside and called us "snooty" and "too good to stay there" as we left. Absolutely horrendous.

The property was old and worn, think 1950's or Rt 66. It was clean, but flies were on the bed and in the room. The bathroom was very 50ish. I would have stayed there alone but had three with me who weren't alive in the old days to see what early motel rooms looked like. It was not bad, was clean, and neat and the pool looked good. You could see the ocean and walk to it easily. I moved them to a modern condo for the weekend.

The good: The location is amazing - right on the beach. Our room was clean, even though a hurricane rolled through just two days before we arrived. The bad: Exterior is a hot mess. Needs some repairs and updating.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They provided recommendations for dining out. They allowed us to leave our car in the parking area after checkout time so we could stay on the beach longer. The motel was convenient to restaurants and Walmart, etc. Only problem was the TV. It is internet based and never worked properly during our stay. Otherwise we had a beautiful time.

Front office staff was great, room appeared to be clean. Unfortunately after we checked out and flew home, my husband and I had tons of bug bites, thought it was fleas because this is a pet friendly hotel, we went to our doctors...BED BUGS BITES! Room 104 I can't stop itching, had to go on Prednisone and will have to have our home professional debugged. No office staff from 8pm to 8am, our neighbors were noisy until 2am.

Hidden gemby the ocean nothing fancy but great!!!!
We stayed 4 days 3 nights and it was a nice room 2 queen beds. When i booked it i thought it was adjoining rooms because ot said double room 2 queen bed and was great for families. But it ended up being just a 2 queen bed room which was fine but there were 5 of us. The service was wonderful and clean the pool was great cold but great very clear and clean and beds were comfortable just needed more pillows only 2 per bed. But we didnt bother asking as we brought more. The tv cable or internet for it was not to great but when i reported it they were prompt on trying to fix it. They were friendly and wonderful! Our son locked us out the room at 11pm after taking a night stroll on the beach and we called the number provided and staff was there an let us in right after i got off the phone, ot was late and he was so nice. Its a wonderful place i highly recommend and when we come back to the beach we will book here again! Price is great for what it is and location to the beach is easily accessed we had partial ocean view and above the pool it was so nice. Kids had a blast and so did we nothing fancy but perfect for a family on budget! Loved it!

Everything was great! The parking was a bit small and hard to park when it was full, but other than that it was great. Great location and close to almost everything! Great staff

I didn't see pet friendly. I'm sensitive to pet dander. Smells like smoke. No smoking rooms, but everyone smoked outside their door! The smoke loungers into the room. Needs renovation desperately. Might be ok for 1955. Awful. Orbitz should look into poor ratings!!

What a wonderful little vintage gem on the Strand. Does it need updating.. Yes. Was it clean...absolutely. Pool was sparkling clean Owner is on site all day. Eager to please. We had a few saw inconveniences but they were addressed immediately. A great place to stay if you do not want all the frills of the larger hotels.

It wasn't the fanciest or the biggest but for the money and a place that pets are allowed it was a win. It's and older place but it was clean and well maintained. It didn't have a hot tub which we usually look for but it did have a nice pool. It was right on the beach and we got a ocean view room and you can't go wrong with that.

Booked this place for me and my family as well as my sister and hers who has never been to Myrtle. I am very OCD and I booked this place because it was walking distance to the beach and star rating on top of guests rating said it was a good place. I had my four kids with me, 2 of which were young teens. Let’s just say we won’t be returning to this place. I give them credit for trying their best to keep rooms clean but it was so outdated, appliances dirty, disgusting and rusted, cockroaches on the countertop and ceiling, my teens slept in our truck they were so paranoid a roach my fall from the ceiling. I must say what I liked was the receptionist was very nice and the hotel was literally by the beach and close to a lot of things. Property would be a awesome investment if they would just INVEST INTO UPDATING IT. it was definitely an unforgettable experience for me and my family!!
