Xmas vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this place and Nags Head. The house has excellent views, close, of the beach from the top floor which has one bedroom ( in the back) kitchen and living room. There are big decks all around, but with temperatures cold during out stay, we did not get out on the deck. The deck and beach access did show signs of damage from previous storms in December. The kitchen was well appointed for the most part. We enjoyed South Nags Head, and visits to various sites in the general area. We enjoyed the stay and the house.

Great location!

First time staying in Nags Head and the house was in the perfect location! Nicely appointed with enough sleeping/spread out space for all. Only wish/thing we would have changed…a King (rather than a Queen) bed in upper level bedroom. Have already made our reservations again for next year and looking forward to it!

Another great stay at SNH-1

Older but still great house right on the beach. Double decker wrap around covered decks make this house very unique. No matter the weather you can almost always get outside. Even watch a Thunderstorm come and go under cover which can be pretty spectacular on the outer banks.

Wonderful vacation in this home right on the water. Recent upgrades were a nice addition. Having a walk in shower was a bonus for my mother. Location is perfect, between the piers.

We loved our time at this house and in Nags Head! The endless wraparound balconies/decks allow for amazing sunrise and sunset views. Being right on the beach was the best! House is well-stocked with cooking items and for grilling out. Loved that we could bring our dog- and the set up of the hoses made for easy rinsing him off after the beach! Just one recommendation- better mattresses- would’ve made it a 5 star!

Great Ocean Front House

Great house in South Nags Head with two levels of surrounding decks which are mostly covered. You can still sit out in the sun on the ocean side upper deck if you don't want to walk down to the beach. Walk around to the west side for great sunsets in the evening. Nice big living room/kitchen area is on the top floor with fantastic views.

Our favorite time of year

I hope the owners can keep up with the maintenance without putting the rates out of our reach. This time together is our favorite time of year our family looks forward to starting the day we have to leave. This is our favorite house of any we have stayed in Nags Head and there have been several. Would love to see a king size bed in the upstairs bedroom and some new and/or repaired deck furniture but it will not keep us away.

A week on Nags Head

The house location is perfect! You could not find a better Outer Banks location and uncrowded beach. The house layout is good too. Better supplied than the listing indicated. Our family had a wonderful and timeless treasure of a stay. Our only complaint is the cleanliness. We learned that "dog friendly" means "dog dirty." However, we still give this property a 5-star rating since we knew the property was dog friendly when we rented it.

Good to be Back

We had a wonderful week at SNH-1. We've rented this house a number of times thru the years and were so pleased to see the upgrades the new owners have made, especially the new great room furniture, new flooring, working screens, updated bathrooms and deck furniture. It's clear the rehab work is ongoing, we weren't able to use the outdoor shower or tiki bar due to the various items stored in those spots and at least one bathroom had no towel bar. However, we look forward to staying in this great house again next year.

Great to return to

We had stayed in this house for several years prior to it being sold. Unable to get in for two years but made it back this year. The new owners have done some great updates! All new flooring and all 3 bathrooms have been redone and turned out very nice. We just love this location and it's stretch of beach. Not overcrowded with plenty of room for all to enjoy. We would personally prefer a Saturday to Saturday rental since coming down from Ohio but we made it work. I must add that Shoreline OBX is a super company to deal with. We have worked with others, that have all been nice, but there was just something different this time and we liked it. Already booked it for next summer. You will love it.

Amazing location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is literally right on the beach. Just a small dune to go down to get to the water. There is a local beach access right next to the house so renters not on the beach will come and park a spot right behind the house so still need to get out early to secure your pick of spots. Have to drive to get to shops, restaurants but the drive is not far. The house is nice and spacious. We only had a small family so didn’t use all the rooms but nice to know they were there if our other family stayed. The house is in need of some updates but we were pleased with the super fast response of the rental company. The grill was not working well and they replaced it within 24 hours. Overall a very nice trip. Would stay there again if we had more family/ friends to share it with.

House was nice, although some of the floors were uneven. AC worked excellently and the beds and bathrooms were clean and updated. The porch swing needs moved to the back side of house so you can enjoy it and view the ocean and beach. The only "complaint" I have is I was sent a text at midnight the day before leaving from the rental company informing me of checkout time and requesting we vaccum and sweep the floors prior to leaving. I didn't appreciate the late text, nor asking us to clean the floors. Isn't that what the cleaning crew is for? I understand that some renters will leave a mess, but I am not one if them. Just found it somewhat off putting. Overall we did enjoy our week in Nags Head and would be willing to rent this house again.

SNH-1 Another Great Vacation

Location and house layout are fantastic for the beach! Could use a better/bigger bed in the upstairs bedroom which I would consider a master bedroom. There is less deck furniture every year which is bit sad considering the beautiful, surrounding, covered decks on this house. We usually have to consolidate or move furniture to the place we want to congregate that day. This was also the second year in a row with a major problem at move in. This year the refrigerator did not work. We also had an electrical issue about halfway through. Last year we had leaking plumbing from a toilet which is not good. I would hope at the rental rate of this house the owners could do better with obvious amenities and standard items that need to work when people move in. We are very satisfied with the folks at Shoreline and the contractors that have responded to various problems. We just wish the contractors were not needed so often.

We have stayed in this house several years now and love the decks and location. However, it is obvious the exterior is not being taken care of. Also, there is less and less deck furniture each year. Certainly not enough for the capacity of the house. Some of the furniture is in disrepair and could be considered dangerous. Missing supports, exposed nails and the like. Since the owners continue to raise the price each year it would be great if they would put a little more back into it for their tenants. Also, the kitchen utensils (pots and pans, etc.) were in very bad shape this year. We left all the rusted and peeling non-stick pans on the main table when we left. We reported this during our stay and a few cookie sheets were delivered but that was it. We also reported the ice maker stopper working and it was never repaired. They may have upgraded since then. We intend to keep coming several more years if we can afford it but would like to see a little more TLC put into the house.

Since the owners continue to raise the price each year it would be great if they would put a little more back into it for their tenants. Also, the kitchen utensils (pots and pans, etc.) were in very bad shape this year. We left all the rusted and peeling non-stick pans on the main table when we left. We reported this during our stay and a few cookie sheets were delivered but that was it. We also reported the ice maker stopper working and it was never repaired. They may have upgraded since then. We intend to keep coming several more years if we can afford it but would like to see a little more TLC put into the house.

Still a great location and house but it is getting worn down on the exterior.

We have stayed in this house several years now and love the decks and location. However, it is obvious the exterior is not being taken care of. Also, there is less and less deck furniture each year. Certainly not enough for the capacity of the house. Some of the furniture is in disrepair and could be considered dangerous. Missing supports, exposed nails and the like. SS Family Tide

Everyone we dealt with at Shoreline was excellent however we sent a separate email right after our stay with zero response. Overall the house was awesome but there is an issue with cleanliness. Not really positive the house had been cleaned. On our arrival after 2 1/2 hours of cleaning we felt comfortable. When on departure the cleaning crew was there at 8:45 and they pulled in right beside our car and waited for us to leave. Overall location and house are awesome but I believe you need to address your cleaning services.

The property was a fantastic location! There were a few broken chairs and gate pulls. The home was clean, but not cleaned under beds and the closets were full of stuff. The kitchen is older but it is a beach house. However, the pans and items in the kitchen are old and difficult to cook with the pans. The grills were not cleaned and the day we arrived, there were 2 trash cans under the porch full of garbage and 2 out on street. The home is absolutely wonderful, but I just wish it had better beds.

Beautiful property and perfect location. Can’t say enough good things about this house. Management was very helpful throughout our stay.

FANTASTIC LOCATION

Great views north and south with amble beach area. Do not expect subscription tv bring your Roku and other connection cables. Stove needs a good cleaning in order to bake , broil is fine. Had to clean beach front windows in order to see with no distortion. Otherwise property was great with good location to grocery stores , resturants and shopping.

Great beach week!

You can’t beat the location of this property. We had an amazing time at the beach, biking around the area and fishing off the shore.
