”The cottage was clean and comfortable as reported. The location is excellent, we walked to town, and all around. I would call the house a cottage as it is relatively small and the decor etc are a little dated but cute. The one draw back was that it was like 90+ degrees and there is no AC. We opened all the windows and there were plenty of window fans available and overhead fans, and while it did cool down some at night, we were still hot and there really wasn't anything to do to get some relief....

”My small family of 3 had such a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at this cottage. We found everything to be exactly as described and as depicted in the photos. The location was close enough to town to allow for an easy walk to shops, but also in a great jumping off spot for drives to other parts of the island. It was also super quiet. Though the bathroom was relatively small, it was very clean and functional for our needs. The kitchen had modern appliances that made meal prep easy. My 11-year old...

”We loved this house. Sure, it is rustic (as the title says), but we loved the vibe. The architecture, exposed wood, and white floors felt like a 60s surf bungalow. The house is interesting and there are some quirks, but nothing that had any impact on our stay. It was clean and well appointed where it mattered- the linens were clean and fresh, the kitchen and bathroom were clean, the mattresses on the twin beds seemed new. It was walking distance to the little town, beach, playground, Sconset...
