”The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list. ”

”家族3人で利用しました。1階ロビーや中庭、部屋もとてもきれいで過ごしやすかったです。お風呂も広く特に露天風呂のロケーションが良かった。夜は歩いてすぐの居酒屋を紹介していただきましたしコンビニも徒歩5分くらいだと思います。朝食はお味噌汁代わりのほうとう鍋がついていて嬉しかった。1泊朝食付きのプランでしたがとてもコスパ良くここで良かったと思いました。”

”The guesthouse is lovely and if you are lucky you may see the mount Fuji from all the clouds. The walk to the lake is nice, through some small streets and plantations. It is quite remote in the sense that often you have to take a train, bus and a taxi to get to the guesthouse. So plan for the long travel. There was no pick-up service offered and when leaving we got a ride because another family had a baby with them, but then it had to be on their schedule. ”

”The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rustic atmosphere. The amenities were good, and the staff was very friendly and spoke great English. The private hot spring was easy to book a time slot for, and was very relaxing. The staff prepared a handy map of local restaurants and stores, as well as English menus, but the opening hours on things is very inconsistent since it’s a small mountain town, so despite things being listed as opening at 5, we went for dinner at 5:30 and...
