The location is a bit far fr city center, itâs better because of quiet. Each tuk-tuk ride between hotel to city center is LRK 500.â

âMe and my wife really enjoyed our stay at the Onrock. Our visit was made especially pleasant by the gentleman running the reception. Warm, caring and friendly service all the way. The only downside was that for this pricerange one would expect an AC. There were two fans in the room, but both were so noisy that at least we could not sleep with them on. But other than that, very good experience all in all. â

âLovely place to stay. Beautiful view to the mountains and the sunrise was amazing. The hotel is located on the small road so the bigger cars are not able to drive there. However the tuktuk is easy way to get in there. The place is really quiet and the railway is going nearby. There you have an easy access to Ella rock and to the town. It took around 15min to walk to Ella town. There is not many places to eat in the evening near by but in the town there are many restaurants. In the dark I got the...
âGreat little friendly hotel in beautiful Ella. Walking distance to town, restaurants and pubs. The hill Is a little steep to walk but if you find it hard you can get a tuk tuk for a couple of dollars. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice balcony. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend.â
âThe view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it thereâs bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if thereâs so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. â
âThis was our second time staying at 98 Acres. The Resort and its facilities are wonderful but the staff at 98 Acres are absolutely amazing. They are always cheerful, welcoming, helpful and full of knowledge and pride both in their work and to guests. Thanks heaps. We hope to visit 98 Acres again! â

âWe were very pleased with our 2-day stay. Despite the older facilities, the service level was excellent. We had the pleasure of Thushanthan helping us with both directions, tips and service â and he spoke our language as well! Overall, a great place to stay for a weekend in Ella. Could use a little touch up here and there, and perhaps a broader range in the breakfast buffet, but truly a great offer for the price. â

Siisteys on ok, joskaan 4 yön majoituksen aikana siivousta ei tehty kertaakaan. Huoneet ovat myös aika rĂ€nsistyneitĂ€ ja varustelultaan niukkoja. Huoneessamme oli fan, ei ilmastointia. Huhtikuussa pĂ€rjĂ€si kyllĂ€ fanillakin, mutta pieni kosteus ja tunkkaisuus olivat lĂ€snĂ€. Aamiaisesta pidimme paljon.â

Majoituksesta teki ihanan omalle terassille ennakkotilauksesta toimitettu aamupala ja hyvin avulias henkilökunta, joka mm. pakkasi aamupalan meille mukaan paluun junamatkalle. Varsinaista respaa majoituksessa ei ole, joten henkilökuntaa on ajoittain vaikea löytÀÀ.â
âAn amazing experience, sleeping in the canopy of the forest. We saw lots of animals and fireflies at night. Accommodation is basic as you would expect but beds and bathroom were clean. Ella is a 5-10 minute walk away via the railway tracks. Route was easy to find as directed by our host. Breakfast was delicious and filling.â

The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people.
Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities.
If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - itâs not the place for you.
It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience.
