”We had a lovely stay with Patricia. Great location about 35 mins out of Galway so you can have the best of a big city then retreat to a quiet room in the country. Full Irish breakfast available and fascinating castle and Celtic garden very close by. Had a fabulous meal in nearby Oughterard at Powers Thatch too. Would recommend if you want to be a bit out of town. ”

”Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

”We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, peaceful time. The food was delicious, prepared by Joyce, and we got a ton of advice and insight about the area and Ireland in general from Aidan. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous and steeped in Irish history. If we ever come back to Tuam, we'd happily stay again!”

It was a welcome oasis after the hustle and bustle of London and Dublin! Loads of room for us to spread out after two weeks together! Haha!! ”The Walsh's home is a perfect haven. Everything was exactly as noted with beautiful details to all the remodeling done. The location is on a relatively quiet road that is about 2 miles from end to end and makes a perfect walk in the AM or PM. You may have a few sheep or others who demand a photo or two. Short distance to Cong and Ballinrobe, Oughterard, and Maam area are lovely to explore. Michael stays in contact as needed as well as gives you space to explore. I will return, hopefully!”
