”A perfect stay and will definitely be back. Easy check in, the rooms, 1 and 2, were fantastic and great for the dogs. The facilities in the room were everything we needed. The bar and restaurant were really well set out and the decor created a nice homely feel, very relaxing. The food was perfect, good portion sized, nicely presented and really good quality. ”The bathroom had mold. The ceiling tiles are broken. The room really needs a refurb. The main door is broken and sometimes doesn't open or opens very slowly. I've stayed at much better maintained premier inns in the past so this was a huge disappointment.”

”Beautiful listed house, full of character, amazing stay from start to end, the owners couldn't do enough for you, and food was excellent, and I have to add never had such a warm comfortable bed ever, will definitely be going back, cannot praise it enough ”

”Food was wonderful. Room was very clean, with a lovely tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. They have an information pack in the room that gives all relevant information. They have information available for walks in the local area. It is in the middle of nowhere, so use the restaurant if here for a night. ”

”Room was ok. Small double bed. No headboard, just the wall behind the bed. No hot water in peak times. No black out curtains at all. Lighting very dim in the room so impossible to put make up on anywhere other than the bathroom. ”

”Nice hotel in convenient location for local villages and A55. Bar and restaurant area have been refurbished to a high standard, with good food and drink offer. Staff very welcoming and professional. Rooms are in the process of being updated, ours (no 8) was clean with a lovely view. Fridge in room, also which was helpful. Plenty of off road parking. I'd recommend for a short stay. ”

”Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. ”
