Hottle Review – Stayed with Family (2 Adults, 2 Children)

We stayed here as a family (2 adults and 2 children). The room was simple but neat and spacious enough for our needs. Cleanliness was good, and the location is convenient. Parking was reasonably priced at £5 per night, with occasional discounts available.
The overall price was fair compared to similar accommodations — we paid around £90 for one night. Most of the staff were friendly, especially one lovely lady working the Sunday morning shift on June 22nd. I regret not getting her name, but I want to thank her and hope the hotel management appreciates her excellent service.
Breakfast wasn't a buffet and had limited options, but given the price, it was acceptable and we were satisfied.
There are a few downsides to be aware of:
No lift
No gym
No air conditioning. This could be an issue in warm weather — the room only had a fan, which didn’t work well when temperatures rose.
In summary:
Room: Simple, clean, and spacious
Cleanliness: Good
Location: Convenient
Price: Fair
Staff: Mixed — some average, one exceptional
Breakfast: Limited, but acceptable
Facilities: Lacking A/C, lift, and gym
Overall, a decent stay. I’d rate it 3 out of 5.
