”There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way.”

”A good option for a family visiting Durham University or, as we did, attending a graduation ceremony. Only a 20-minute drive from the centre of Durham, but cheaper than staying centrally in Durham. Friendly staff, good full English breakfast. We had a room that slept 4 people, which looked relatively recently renovated with ensuite shower and toilet. Shower was good.”

”Lovely b&b! Had big rooms and excellent shower. Ten minutes walk from the station and five from the centre. Friendly hosts with out being overbearing. Would absolutely go back. Only consideration: there was nowhere to leave bags after checkout.”

”Very disappointing. The room, which was not cheap, was suffocatingly hot and had no windows. There was a cheap portable air conditioning unit, propped up on a chair which did not work and the shower was not usable as it was scalding hot on every setting. The manager was unhelpful and dismissive.”
